Amazing food! - Edit
Fully vegan place, which is affordable and very, very delicious. We had Ramen with mushrooms (very tasty), taco tinga and taco Baja (wow!) and one tostada seta a la talla, which was a little too spicy for me. Everything looked lovely on the plate, the staff was very nice and we even got free refills for the agua fresca without asking.

So cute - Edit
Hidden gem! I here with a big group of people, some vegan some not and everyone really enjoyed their food.
Read moreI had the gyoza and liked them so much I got a second round. The tacos were the stand out favourite of the group, particularly the mushroom ones. The portions were big and the prices were very reasonable.
The service was lovely, and we got free refills of the agua del dia which was cantaloupe, and the most delicious flavour I’ve ever tried.
The restaurant itself was in a nice location. There’s not a lot of seating, but we got a seat outside at the big table under the fairy lights and it was an awesome dinner atmosphere.
Overall great experience, highly recommend.

Their Ramen is To Die For! - Edit
This is THE BEST RAMEN in Mexico, by far. These chefs really know what they’re doing. The way they mix Japanese and Mexican cuisines is outstanding. The place is small and unpretentious but nicer than most vegan restaurants in Mexico City. If you’re craving something more upscale and sophisticated than Vegan Fast Food you need to go to Sarumino. I’m literally addicted to it.

Combination of Mexican, Sonoran (northern Mexico) and Japanese food. - Edit
Sarumino's combinations are a bit unusual, but they work. Their dishes are Mexican but with Japanese techniques. A very good option if you want to get to know Mexican cuisine in another way. we ate everything, my favorite was the mexican mushroom ramen. we will definitely be back!

Unique vegan food in a cute locale - Edit
Sarumino is a new vegan restaurant in Roma Sur, specialising in Japanese food with a Mexican twist. The menu is very simple, focusing on just a few dishes. Personally, I'm very fond of this, as it makes decision making easy.
Read moreMyself and a few friends (some vegan, some not vegan) went in the opening week and we all found it to be delicious experience.
Their signature dish right now seems to be the birriamen - that is, a fusion between a ramen and Mexican birria. I've not had anything like it before, and so was really excited to try it. It really lived up to expectations - boldly flavoured but balanced. The portioning was generous and it really filled us all up. We also tried the onigiri, which had a tofu filling. It tasted fantastic and really hammered home that the chefs really know what they're doing.
Even though they were quite busy, the two chefs were really friendly.
Really excited to see this place develop in the future - there's definitely a niche for vegan Japanese fusion that has yet to be explored. I'll definitely be back!
