Tasty vegan ice cream - Edit
We got almost all the flavors of the day:
Read moreCoconut: nice, but not super creamy or coconutty. More like brown coconut sugar than the white one, if that makes sense.
Dragonfruit-mango: super good and creamy. Recommend! Toddler approved.
Matcha: strong flavor, but good for matcha-lovers
Spice chai: very distinct flavor; grew on us
Ice cream comes in cones made out of coconut or bowls made out of nonedible coconut shells.
They have a few seats inside and outside. Also offer drinks.
We also tried the ocean drink with spiralina and ginger, which was quite good, once the coconut ice cream melted.
They also sell some products and groceries made out of coconut.
Pros: Vegan ice cream, Interesting flavors

Coconut-based dessert & Product shop - Edit
Very nice concept of using coconuts while trying to uplift communities in the Philippines. I was very happy to come across sari sari store (for those of you who might not know, Sari-Sari stores are little corner neighborhood shops run locally in the Philippines, usually with the storefront/ shop being next to or connected to the family's residence). I hope to take my dad here someday if we travel to Osaka together since he loved when I shared about how the store has ties to supporting his home country. Salamat!
Read moreThere were lots of coconut based items - from ice cream, shakes, cheezcake, soaps, oil, curry etc. From what I could see during my visit, I did not see any non-vegan options, but I could be wrong, if I did not look closely at all the freezer items. I think this place is almost 100% plant-based and vegan now, as I did not see any meat...not sure if Happy Cow will change the status of vegan-friendly to vegan at any point.
The options are limited to about 4-5 flavors at the counter, but there were more flavors in the freezer. I tried the Matcha milkshake and black sesame ice cream scoop. If coconut is not your thing, this won't be the place for you. I shared my desserts with my friend who said she did not taste a strong coconut flavor at all in the two items. I tasted a slightly stronger coconut flavor in the black sesame ice cream scoop, but not in the matcha shake.
The seating is limited and we were there while two other couples were eating, but the kind staff brought out two stools for my friend and I to sit on at the counter. As others have mentioned, there is an English menu available.

I am so thankful I stumbled upon this place because the ice cream was amazing! We tried latte, choc with fruit and nuts, strawberry, and the classic coconut flavours. All were great, but the strawberry Sunday was sensational. Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for some dairy free ice cream!

One of the few places in Osaka where you can get frozen vegan desserts. I will be back!
Read moreThis small shop does ice cream for take out and eat-in (just a couple of seating areas though so beware), I believe it is run or owned by Cocowell, a coconut oil/coconut product company. The ice cream is very creamy and rich!

Great cafe/ice cream - Edit
Beautiful shop with a great atmosphere and delicious food. I had coconut ice cream and a vegan cheesecake, both of which were excellent. I also had a nice conversation with the owner/staff. She made me feel very welcome and was definitely a highlight during my stay in Osaka.
