Tried to scam us - Edit
They tried to scam us by charging €6.90 for a bottle of mineral water and serving us tap water in a mineral water bottle. When we told them they changed the water for the real one and it was clearly not the same kind of water!
Read moreThe food tasted good though, maybe a bit overrated. Vegetables were old and dry. The service was not the best and our dishes didn't come in together, one got cold before the other one was served. Noisy room.

So good Indian food and many vegan options although most of them you have to say them to make vegan. Some of the foods are also very spicy and not marked on the menu so ask your waiter how spice the foods are. The staff is so friendly. They help you find the vegan options, tell you about the spice levels and even recommend you what to eat.

Nice food, but too spicy for us, even if we asked before ordering how spicy the dishes were ("a little bit" was the answer). Part of the staff was friendly, others... not so much.

Our waitress was quite rude and my food was ok, but nothing special. They served more side dish (rice) than Aloo Fry Curry, and the aloo itself was quite dull. One of my friends asked for an uthappam and it was quite burned on the top and the other friend recieved a dosa she didn't asked for. I've been in many different indian restaurants and this one was a bit disappointing.

The food is really good and authentic, the dosa is very tasty and crispy and the sambar and the chutneys that come with it have a great flavor. However, the idli had a sourish taste that I didn't like that much. The waiters are very friendly and the food is served quickly.

I've had a lot of dishes there over time; my favourites are Gobi 69, alu gobi, dal makhani, and masala dosa, of course. It's just like back in India! A pleasant exploration was their filter coffee.

Read moreIt's definitely not as fancy as Amrit. The vibe is a bit more McDonalds-like, but not THAT bad. The menu is MASSIVE. A bit too massive to be honest - I nearly got choice-paralysis. Also, there was a cheese-dish that was labeled as vegan. Hmm... honest mistake I guess. Still bad. Most importantly, the service was good and my dosa tasted great.
I'd be happy to go back here again.
UPDATE: I went here again with an Indian friend for dinner on a Thursday and to my big surprise there was actually a short line to get in. Food was served really fast and tasted well. The first glass of tap water was free, the next one cost 1€.

Really good Dosas! - Edit
I love Dosas! And outside of India, I've found few that I love. The one I had at Saravanaa Bhavan in Berlin was one I loved. My friends loved their meals as well. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is right next to a Berlin Wall memorial at Potsdamer Platz, and it's interesting to watch people checking out the outdoor exhibits there.

Many items are vegan or can be ordered in a vegan version.
We had a north Indian thali (the plaak was amazing), Rasam (tasted like those we had in India) and a mushroom Rogan Josh (out of the great food by far the best)
The taste was very authentic.
Please be aware that also the service is authentic😉(for example we did not receive our two dishes at the same time and service might seem a bit chaotic for "German standard")
Portions are very decent/large.

We ordered many dishes. The taste was top notch. The texture and the smell remind authenticity! Quick and warm food to the table.
