Their dosas are always good!

Their masala dosas are always quickly prepared and delicious. Refills on the chutneys are included. £5.25. And a large chai for £2.25 (more like a medium but hey, the dosas are good!). Tried a masala dosa somewhere down the street yesterday and it left me hankering for a Saravana Bhavan dosa, so here I am today. The best!

Pros: Their masala dosas are always solid, Chai is good , Prices are still reasonable

Cons: Usually very busy

Love the dosas here

Always a solid choice, no matter which branch. Particularly love the dosas here, ask for a free chutney refill once you run out. They have great fresh carrot juice too!

top marks!

Delicious and authentic. Have to agree with previous review, very similar taste as in other branches worldwide! Staff is rather unfriendly and careless to that extent that it is already entertaining and part of the experience, had the same in India 😁✌ don't expect a fine-dine experience and don't go there for a first date, if you want to impress someone. but I would always go back for the food!

Fast and Furious

A friend of mine and myself went in for a "nice" Sunday lunch the other day as something a little different. The place looks grand and welcoming from the facade. We were ushered to our seats and given a wine and food menu to opt from. A few seconds later someone wanted to take our order and we had barely sat down so had to ask for sometime to look at the options. The menu was your gog standard south Indian fare with Dosas, idlee, rice dishes and sambers. When we were ready we called the waiter over who took our order and within 2 minutes our dishes were flying out fast and furious and tasted of being nuked in a microwave which was confirmed by the unatural heat steaming from the dishes. Although the main portion sizes were good the sambers and side dishes were of ants proportions and did not justify charging £4.50 for a rice with a couple of grapes thrown in and a slither of samber on the side. The tastes were OK but nothing to write home to tell your mother about. I have tasted better in places like Lewisham, London (Sagar) and Stoke Newington for a better price. It seemed they just wanted to get the food out on your table, take your cash and get the next people in. The sitting down to a nice relaxed meal is not a reason to go here, it makes McDonalds, Burger King and others look like tortoises. There are many better south Indian places than this quick fire establishment that even Usain Bolt could not keep up with. I will not be visiting again unless i am working in the area and have just been give a 5 minute tea break.

Pros: Looks good, Vegetarian

Cons: Over priced, Too fast, bog standard
