Very delicious, many vegan options - Edit
The great thing about South Indian cuisine is that it's full of Vegan option and also options that can be easily veganised.
Read moreYou have however to tell the staff the list of ingredients you'd like excluded and they'll help, they don't know what Vegan means, you have to mention everything: dairy, paneer, cheese, milk, yogurt, butter, ghee
The place is nice and clean, we went to one in Al Mateena st.
The portions are big and it's very cheap, just make sure you follow the google map and GPS to get there, it's definitely worth the try.
Pros: very delicious, cheap, many vegan options
Cons: staff don't know what Vegan means

Well worth it - a must eat in Dubai! - Edit
We struggled to find the restaurant initially, as we didn't have an address, just the print out from happycow's website. But, it was well worth the find. We went for lunch and were ushered upstairs (where a set menu takes place at lunch). Super cheap - 15 dirhams (£3) per person for huge plate of assorted food. The waiters even went around doing free refills of food on your plate as you ate it!! Until you told them to stop because you wouldn't be able to stand up afterward! Delicious, authentic indian food.
Read moreWe stayed at the Bonnington Towers Hotel (luxury heaven!), which as we found out was a 30min taxi ride to this restaurant. Worth the trek to the restaurant and would do it again, as there are NO veggie restaurants in the "touristy" part of dubai (near Jumeira Beach Residences + beach walk).
The Metro station near this restaurant hasn't opened yet, but when it does, it should be cheaper to get to. The restaurant is in the less affluent, less shiny/glitzy part of Dubai, but the real food + excellent quality (instead of crappy non-veggie touristy food elsewhere), makes it totally worth it.
Pros: Delicious, Excellent value , Large Serving Sizes
Cons: Bit of a trek from the hotels in the, "touristy" areas
