Delicious home-made and traditional cuisine - Edit
I really recommend this place! This restaurant offers a delicious menu including a starter, main course and dessert.
Read moreIt’s vegetarian but there are many vegan options, also gluten-free.
Everything was delicious. It’s a family-owned restaurant, the owners are very nice and they prepare some traditional Spanish dishes. A lovely place to eat in Pamplona!

#Veganuary

Inconsistent Classic Navarro food in a vegetarian/vegan style - Edit
ORIGINAL (Lunch in 8/2022): This was an epiphany. Legacy foods in a progressive style, including Pochas and, even, a house Pacharan.
Read moreNot just novelty, really well done interpretations. Wonderful!
Just wish it was open beyond lunch.
ADDENDUM (Dinner in 6/2023): What a difference... the return to Pamplona to visit my family gave us an opportunity to try Sarasate for dinner. From beginning to end, really disappointing, other than the beer choices (which include an award-winning Gastro brew from Cuenca) and a menu that promised the kind of creativity that we experienced at lunch last year.
To begin with, walking in, you're directed to take a photo of the menu (pinned to a non descript bulletin board in the entrance) for reference in placing your order, which seemed like a pointedly "you do it" cost save measure. I've included the photo of the menu, to show what I meant by the promise of the menu; it suggested an innovative take on both traditional Navarro dishes, and/or on vegetarian/vegan foods. Exciting, either way.
My wife ordered: Borraja salteado con champiñones (sauted borrage with mushrooms), espagueti integrales con bolognese de verdura y quinta (spaghetti bolognese with vegetables and quinoa), brownie de manzana y almendra (apple and almond brownie).
The Borraja was watery, tasteless and lukewarm (if that). The spaghetti was not hot, barely had any vegetables in it. The brownie was cold, though delivered on a warm plate, very dry and not moist.
I ordered: alubias pochas de Navarra (the same classic bean dish that I'd ordered fue olunch in 2022), albóndigas de calabaza y setas con ali olí de manzana ("meatballs" of squash & mushrooms in apple alioli), vainilla helado con peras al horno con canela y miel (vanilla ice cream with baked pears with cinnamon and honey)
The Pochas were good, though not hot (most noticed because it was unseasonably cool outside & the perfect condition in which to enjoy a hot dish of Pochas). The albóndigas were good, though cold, as were the baked pears in the ice cream. Across the board, the cold foods felt like dishes that had been forgotten and lacked the full taste of the dish because of that.
Add to that service that seemed intent on a passion-less & even unwelcoming experience, and there was little positive left to motivate any discussion. We paid & left, sending emails to friends to which we'd previously praised Sarasate, warning them that the experience was not as we'd previously had
Too bad, even sad

Puh. Das Restaurant an sich ist nett und die Bedienung hatte sehr viel Geduld mit uns ( wir sprechen kein Spanisch ) aber das Essen war halt..... hm... Es war schlicht, eher fade leider.

Good food here - Edit
I had lunch here in March 2023. They have a meal of the day that costs €14.50 from Monday through Friday at lunch time. It comes with a first and second course followed by dessert. It also comes with bread and a choice of drink (I chose the wine). This is an excellent value for a good quantity of good food. For my meal I chose the garbanzos with spinach and for the second course I chose the cannelloni. The dessert I chose was the banana and chocolate crepe. All of it was delicious! Conveniently located in the middle of town.

Delicious homemade meals! - Edit
The menu included a starter (huge portion of pumpkin soup), a segundo (big portion of creamy rice mushrooms), a dessert (had watermelon since I was so full, would've also carried cakes and custard), 1/4 liter of wine, water and bread. All this for 14,5e. I would've settled and been full with half of the menu, but luckily everything was delicious

Owners are really nice and the food was tasty. Fresh ingredients and the 3 course menu is great value. Loved having a restaurant that has more than 1 or 2 dishes. Try your best to speak Spanish, it goes a long way 💕

Authentic “home” food - Edit
For a vegetarian place I feel it could expand its vegan menu and be more versatile (there were so many vegetarian options I wished were vegan!) but it’s still lovely and a great place to go in Pamplona! Obsessed with the vegan croquetas! Highly recommend them. The rest of the menu is lovely too. Cute simple place with home style foods.

Excellent value set menu; three courses with bread and wine for 11 euros. The food could generally be seasoned a bit more but it was interesting and imaginative. I went two days running and enjoyed both times.

Bland taste and small portions - Edit
As in the title: The restaurant is recommendable only if you are not very hungry, as the portions are very small. They are covered with a lot of sauce, but the solid food is very scarce. The dishes are elaborated, however they are lacking some flavour.

Lovely - Edit
They have a really good and affordable menu of the day. Most dishes were vegan and had lovely homemade touch. The white beans stew could've been cooked by my mum if she had been vegetarian. It made me feel like a I was a 10 years old again and I was having lunch at home.

Closed? - Edit
On HappyCow, Facebook and Google it said it was open. We drove quite far to Pamplona to find out it was not open at 21.00 (not as said on internet). Apparently closed on evenings during the summer. It was difficult to find any vegan food in the city.
