Nice vegan salad & Bachata teaching staff - Edit
This was my first time going out in the DR and I have to say Bayahibe has almost no vegan options so I was happy to find this place which either offered the Buddha bowls or a wok of veggies & tofu! I opted for the Buddha bowls, the portion was really big however the carbs (couscous) aren't enough to fill you up (if you are used to large portions with decent carbs). It was about 700 pesos 200 extra for tofu (make sure you ask them to fry it otherwise you will get it served raw!). Overall this was nice but quite saucy!
Read moreI added a pina colada, beer & water to the bill which brought me to 1850 pesos. So a lot more expensive then I would have imagined especially for that type of place (regular beach restaurant).
The great thing was the customer service which was really friendly, the Bachata music and willingness of the staff to teach/ dance with you which brought a really good vibe! I enjoyed dancing so it was worth it for me, the owner shouted us some shots too for bringing out our dancing skills which helped swallow the expensive bill! Lol
If you are commuting to Dominius the buses are only running until 7pm, past that if you are gringo expect having to negotiate a very expensive taxi to head back at night(probably somewhere between 250-500 vs 100). I'll definitely be back for a few drinks and the Bachata

Pros: Big portions of salad, For a nice flavour, Pina colada was good
Cons: Very expensive for what it is, Only 2 vegan options, Salad had a little too much sauce for my liking
