Not good at all - Edit
I went to this restaurant after reading HappyCow comments. However food was not good. Naan was like eating a pizza base.
Read moreInterior is nice. The owner is nice guy also. However I can not get over the chewy Naan which spoiled our mood. I was looking forward to hot meal but it was a very disappointing experience.

Knowledgeable about veganism - Edit
Staff gave me a different menu that had vegetarian options. I ordered the veg samosa and veg pakora. The samosa were very good. Spicy and flavorful. The pakora was alright- a bit oily. They served them with a side of chutney and ketchup. And the worker gave me a glass of orange juice for free.

Curry delights ❤️ - Edit
We were delighted to find this indian eatery across the road from our hotel in Toyama, very close to the Shinkansen station. The staff speak good English and understand perfectly what vegan means.
Read moreWe were hungry so had popadoms to start (not on the menu but available if you ask!), vegetable pakora and veg samosa. We asked if they had a chutney tray (eg mango, a diced onion salad, something coconutty…) to accompany the popadoms and thought the waiter was joking when we were offered tomato ketchup but turns out it was all they had! This seemed odd to us as UK dwellers where chutney trays are pretty standard but to be fair we also encountered the same thing in another curry house in Takayama. My non-vegan husband then ordered a mint yoghurt raita which had milk in.
For main I had an aubergine curry and a tandoori roti which were both delicious. Portions were Beth generous. Husband also loved his non-vegan curry and naan bread. Word of warning…they do not mess around when it comes to spice so unless you like curries very hot then I suggest you ask for it mild. Luckily we can tolerate heat but were both almost out of our comfort zones with a “medium”!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place or eat here again if I’m ever in Toyama. The staff and service was great as well as the yummy vegan food.

Accommodating and tasty! - Edit
Staff are very accommodating to dietary requirements - just speak to them. I am vegan and they recommended a flat bread that would be suitable for me alongside telling me which curries could be adapted. I recommend the pumpkin curry.
