Delicioso - Edit

Loved it - Edit
Lots of vegan options. Only two tables on the bridge so it’s unlikely you will be sat there. Super nice even though my Spanish is terrible. Very busy but if you get there when they open you will have no wait.

Never was a place to sit down on the bridge - Edit
Since its a small cafe on a small bridge, there aren't a lot of places to sit, if you want to sit outside. Each time I went by they were full on the bridge.

Delicious food in a pretty spot - Edit
Cosy cafe in a pretty spot with an extensive menu, where vegan options are clearly marked. I had the sopa azteca, which was flavourful and mildly spicy. Can recommend for both the food and the atmosphere.

Vegan in Guanajuato - Edit
Went there yesterday. A little bit disappointed about the baguette of the vegan option being not even vegan. Then is not a vegan option.

Mediocre vegan offerings - Edit
In a city with few vegan options, it was refreshing to find a restaurant providing several dishes catering to vegans. The surprising addition of a decent vegan cheese and soyrizo made my breakfast chilaquiles quite tasty, and the enchiladas were decent. I also had the opportunity to sample a baguette, and while it left a lot to be desired it hit the spot. Nothing fancy; could be better, but could be far worse.
Read moreNow for the cons: Each time I had a dish here that contained lettuce or spinach of any kind (a common addition to many mexican meals) it was obviously spoiled; Even going so far as to hide the rotting lettuce under tomatoes, and I had to remove several pieces from my sandwich. The sandwich also came with a salad made up of rotting lettuce.
The servers were quite impolite, and when arriving for breakfast they forgot key elements to our meals. They were cold, not responding to our queries or even engaging in eye contact. Quite bizarre as no one else in the restaurant seemed to receive this treatment.
There are some quaint tables on a pedestrian bridge that we were never able to procure, with a nice view of an alley and the hillsides surrounding.
Pros: Vegan options, vegan cheese, Decent prices, nice location, Good coffee, soy milk offered
Cons: Unprofessional staff, Spoiled produce, Lack of seasoning, very bland salsas

Great spot with clearly marked vegan alternatives - Edit
I really liked this place! They have authentic Mexican food with clearly marked vegan alternatives. I went twice and got vegan chilaquiles and enchiladas, and both were really good. They also have smoothies made with soy milk that were super good.

Below average - Edit
To be fair there aren't a lot of options in Guanajuato, but this place still sucks. My partner had the vegan verde chilaquiles and they were bland. I had the vegan enchiladas and they were ok. But the vegan cheese has no flavour and it would be better without. Coffee was bad. Service was friendly though!

Love this place - Edit
I visited Guanajuato not knowing if I could find vegan food at the eateries in town. No problem! Santo Cafe offered a hearty vegan soy burger and delicious agua de jamaica. We visited this historical location quite a few times over our 10 day visit.

Solid food, pleasant atmosphere - Edit
I have been in Guanajuato less than a week and have come here three times already, each time ordering something different. They have many different vegan or veganizable options that are clearly labelled on their menu, and they even have vegan cheese! The two little outside tables on the bridge are very cute. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable.
