Beautiful food, beautiful people - Edit
Some of the best vegan food we had during our visit. Lots of selection (even dessert!), and the people were so super friendly. You’ve gotta give this place a try.

This place was awesome! It was very much a vegan restaurant with meat dishes as an option, so it was a nice change of pace. The vegan nachos were SO good and the people were warm and friendly. We had fries, the chicken sandwich, a burger… everything was amazing, and don’t get me started on the vegan honey bun cake… crazy good. Portions were huge and a great value. We’ll be back again next time we’re in town!

This place has the best vegan burger I’ve ever had. I visited Dallas for a week and stopped here atleast 3 times during my time in Dallas. Vegan mushroom Swiss burger was 10/10. This is my second time eating from Sankofa. The first time I had the vegan spaghetti dinner (forgot to take pictures). It was delicious. It came with spaghetti in “meat” sauce with a salad and a whole wheat garlic bread. Today I tried the vegan fish po boy sandwich with hand cut fries. Tasted just like a fish sandwich. The fries were cut up potatoes (not pre-made frozen fries). What I like about this place is that, not only is it tasty, it is healthy (whole wheat bread/pasta, mixed greens for salad). Some vegan places go so far to make a tasty meal that the dish is no longer healthy.

This restaurant is a hidden gem - it’s a southern style restaurant with a neat feel, very nice staff and the food was great! They half a half vegan and half meaty menu, which is great for vegan me and my omnivore husband. I love it! We will definitely return.

Sankofa is a very cordial customer oriented restaurant. Upon entering you will immediately notice the friendliness of the staff. They greet you with a smile and make you feel at home.
Read moreYou will notice that your food is cooked to order (not already cooked and left under a heat lamp awaiting order). Then you'll be pleased with the tasty finished product. Today I'm trying the vegan burger. It's great as usual.
