Simply Amazing!!!! - Edit
My husband and I have been waiting for Sanctuary to open since last year when we met the owner at the Vegan Festival. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is a cozy but elegant location with a delightful vegan menu with a wide variety of dishes. We were lucky enough to find a spot on an opening day. We tried the Squash Ravioli, The broccoli, and mushroom souffle and they were out of this world. We went back the next day for brunch and tried the Black bean enchiladas, the omelet and mushroom, and waffles. We also had hot cocoa. Everything is outstanding! Especially the service. The owner and staff won't rush you to leave, this is a place where you can sit down, have a nice conversation and enjoy your meal without feeling pushed out!!! We are so happy to have them in our neighborhood.

My happy place - Edit
So, so happy to have this lovely new spot in south Charlotte. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Our current favorites are the Jackfruit Bourguignon and the Pan fried Ravioli. I dream of the cashew cream stuffed/“bacon” wrapped dates on the charcuterie plate. They are HEAVENLY!!!! The Tiramisu is our favorite dessert and one that has been sorely missed by my gluten-free wife. They also serve Updog Kombucha, which I love. My wife loves to get a g-f beer. Highly recommend!

Amazing - Edit
Food is delicious. The oyster mushroom po-boy is superb in salad form, the soufflé is incredible. A friend from CA told me about Sanctuary Bistro and gifted their cookbook (also amazing) to me. When I saw Sanctuary moved to Charlotte, I place I travel to monthly, I was ecstatic to try it out. Loved it so much that I went back all 3 days of my trip. Their hoodies are super comfy, and they sell repurposed t-shirts with Sanctuary Bistro logo and a nice message to “stay vocal”. Decor is fabulous, super comforting, Jennifer (owner) is very friendly. The place gets packed so be prepared for a possible wait (worth it!) and some of the food (soufflé) takes a bit of extra time to be served (worth it!) but the subtle signs that encourage you to put down your phone and engage with people or take a moment to breathe are a nice reminder that time is precious, and time spent eating really delicious food in good company is really special. Definitely give Sanctuary a try!

We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant for brunch but it was not extraordinary. The food was good and the service was friendly. Sanctuary Bistro is a good addition to Charlotte but if you don't mind travelling into downtown, Fern Flavors from the Garden has many more delicious chef made options.

Sanctuary Bistro is a dream come true! - Edit
Fine dining. Vegan. Gluten Free. Amazing! This is my new favorite restaurant. Went to a soft opening tonight and everything was perfect. A lovely walnut mushroom pate as an amuse bouche. Vegan charcuterie plate with gluten free baguette. Jackfruit bourgegnon and tiramisu. At gluten free, vegan, and delicious. And wonderful service. I will be back often.

Great vegan brunch spot - Edit
Really enjoyed this spot for Sunday brunch. Great and unique menu at decent prices. The bacon and cheese waffle was very heavy and delicious. Docking one star as it could have been a little more flavorful, though the hot sauce cured that. Would go back.

Proud to report that I was a kickstarter supporter from the moment Barry and Jennifer launched it. I live about 30 miles away or I would dine here more often. The food is creative and the atmosphere is restful.

Went for brunch with friends. The selection was nice and the food was extremely tasty! So flavorful and scratch made tasting. Only downside was there was a 1 hour waitlist but it was worth it and probably bc it was so delicious!

Incredibly good vegan food - Edit
The Pecan Moose appetizer ("compliments of the chef") we were all served before our meal set expectations high. Andvour taste buds were not disappointed with what follwed. My Tofu Scallopini was so good it distracted from the conversation with my cousin.

Loved The Macadamia Miso Salad - Edit
The vibe of Sanctuary Bistro plus the creative food, made for a delicious day in Northern California. The kale and potato soup was a bit salty, but the texture perfect. Had the Vegetable Socca Cake, very tasty, but I would have left hungry had I not eating half of Jane's Miso Salad. Would love the miso dressing recipe! They were very busy for a Monday and the staff was a bit stretched, but Chris was thorough and pleasant. This place will be on the "visit again list".
