One of My Favorite Places

I love stopping by this deli to pick up a pack of Beyond Meat burgers and Violife Just Like cheese. I haven't found either elsewhere in San Diego. They also have really great juices and snacks. Every time I visit, I have a great conversation with the owner, Sunny. He makes you feel like you're old friends. He also has amazing vegan cookies at the front counter that I always like to try. Anyway, I highly recommend the place.

Nice little market on Mission Gorge

Very friendly manager. The shopping center doesn't have bike racks, but he let me bring my bike in the store.

Nice to see some of the vegan cheeses available. Would love to see an expanded section of the prepared vegan food as well!

Didn't get a chance to try the deli, but will be back to give it a try soon.

Too pricey for houselike sandwiches

First time here and the market/deli is a weird set up. The girl working didn't greet me. $8 for a sandwich on two slices of bread from a bag is crazy. Nothing spectacular at all.

Pros: Can't think of one

Cons: Too pricey, Blah sandwich , Waited long for food

Great Neighborhood Vegan Market

Many vegan options and the owner is always looking to make local vegans happy just let him know what you need if he is not carrying it. He will do his best to satisfy you!

Pros: Lots of Vegan Options!

Market going vegan!

Remarkable story: In to try this newly-opened vegan deli, my wife and I met the owner, Sunny, a lifelong vegetarian who is transitioning to ethical veganism.

Maximizing profit is no longer his chief concern if it means animals must be harmed in the process. But he still has store lease payments to make, so he's testing the waters with a vegan deli, ably managed by a longtime vegan, Kevin, while gradually converting the market to 100% vegan as current nonvegan items sell out.

We need more business owners like Sunny who are willing to put ethics before profit. And Kevin's delicious organic deli sandwiches beat Subway's veggie offerings hands down!
