Watch out for misleading labelling - Edit
Lovely location quite busy, they have a changing evening bistro menu which usually has a vegan main option. Went for lunch and chose an item labelled vegan, checked that it was when ordering. Arrived with coleslaw on plate, I double checked was vegan, a conversation with kitchen and the reply came back that it was regular dairy coleslaw. It went back. On the up side the coffee is nice and service was friendly.

A little disappointing - Edit
When I came into the cafe, the greeting from staff wasn't the best. We weren't greeted or given menus or served for ages. Then when we were served, the service all felt a bit muddled up.
Read moreThe menu was very small, with them not having a lot of options in stock so opted for the vegan soup and bread. No idea what was in it but it was good nonetheless. The view was also a nice touch!

Brunch with a sea view - Edit
I struggled to decide between the vegan pancakes or the one pot hash for breakfast but went with the hash (I'll have the pancakes next time) and I wasn't disappointed. It was very tasty and filling and just different. I especially enjoyed the hunk of bread and the guacamole (smashed 🥑 avo) on top. I'd definitely have it again.

No vegan cakes - Edit
A lovely cafe with beautiful views. We only wanted drinks and a cake. We asked what vegan options there were but they said they didn’t have any. A bit disappointing.

Lively Atmosphere - Edit
Our first night in Scarborough, we booked a table at the Saltwater Cafe Bar. The wines we were told by our vegan waitress are vegan and there were enough choices of vegan food to keep us happy. We both opted for their Not Hot Dog. The atmosphere is relaxed and we had a great view of the North Bay.

Cons: The wine listed not clearly labelled vegan.

Good food - Edit
They seem to have one vegan option in each section of their menu (e.g. one vegan pizza, one vegan burger, etc).
Read moreI had their lentil burger, which was very tasty. I would order it again.
Not all of the staff seem to know about their full range of vegan things, so worth asking twice, etc to be sure.
Pros: Nice view from window seats upstairs.

Good option - Edit
Contemporary cafe/bar, limited vegan options. We shared a garlic flatbread which was freshly made and tasty with the vegan salad which was ok.

Try the endeavour burger! - Edit
Came for a late lunch as saw they had vegan options in the menu. Really friendly staff and a good few things to choose from, the endeavour burger was amazing! The caramelised onion on top is to die for

I tried the Endeavour quinoa burger which was really nice, and the brioche bun was soft and delicious. Fries, salad and coleslaw were included.

Great potential :) - Edit
Great to see somewhere with a lot of vegan options. The veggie breakfast with beans instead of eggs was delicious. The cheesy chips are also great. I wasn't a fan of the vegan cheese sandwich (it was the kind of vegan cheese that isnt nice unless it's melted). They also brought it with non-vegan coleslaw which they did swap to a vegan version but I had to question if it was vegan first. I think this place is fairly new and it seems like they are trying to be vegan friendly. I would definitely go back to try the pizza/burger.
