vegan chorizo tacos

I previously gave this location a rly good review but have had some inconsistent experiences. I'm not sure the vegan chorizo tacos are always cooked separately from the meat. I think when they get busy and/or have new employees, they are not the most careful. We have ordered the vegan chorizo tacos and have found random pieces of chicken etc. in them (which they have offered to replace with a new order). Since I cannot see the food being prepared (unlike at Chipotle) it's unknown how the vegan chorizo is cooked. They have also had a problem with sewage gas at this location on 2 of my visits during the past year or so and perhaps that's the city's fault but it's unappetizing, so I left without ordering both times as I was not sure what the problem was. The employees sometimes are great, but sometimes seem really tired/bored/uninterested, not sure why as they have a giant tip jar on the counter so you'd think they'd be extra nice all the time. I can't really recommend this place to other vegan diners as the service and food is inconsistent. I wish it were better because I like the vegan chorizo tacos along with the veggie toppings bar for dine-in. Honestly an awesome snack or light lunch is one vegan chorizo taco, piled up with lettuce, tomato, cilatro, spicy pickled carrots, radishes, salsa and fresh-squeezed lime juice, all for $3!! Also I wish their horchata was vegan, it would not be hard to do!

Great place

I come here regularly for their vegan chorizo! I believe it’s Trader Joe’s soy chorizo but I could be mistaken. They are always very accommodating with substitutions / asking for chorizo in different dishes such as burritos, taco salads, etc. Great guacamole as well and very nice staff!

Pros: Accommodating to substitutions , Large portions

Cons: Drive-thru takes a little longer
