Great Thai Food - Edit
This place is fully vegan and has a large menu of both Thai food and other types of food.
Read moreThey did the Thai food so well. The green thai curry was particularly delicious and very authentic!
The quinoa Seaweed Rolls are interesting concept but currently deep fried and it makes the seaweed flavour overpowering.
A little bit of attention to the ambiance and service could elavate this place into more of a destination.
Definitely worth a visit!

Loads of options, perhaps too many - Edit
The menu was EXTENSIVE which is fab when vegans typically have less choice… but that being said, the fusion menu felt unnecessary and the Thai menu had so many options it was overwhelming.
Read moreOverall we loved the food - call outs are the Green Curry is lighter and super tasty, the food is a little salty and the Quinoa Seaweed Rolls were really uneventful.
The dumplings were amazing and so were the corn cakes!
I’d definitely get the Orange Chicken next time.
Pros: Looooads of options, Big servings
Cons: Dishes were overall expensive, Too many options was overwhelming

Fantastic - Edit
Entirely vegan Thai place that is always a great choice. Been numerous times and everything is always tasty but their fish curry comes about as close to the taste of real fish that I’ve tried since giving up the real thing. This isn’t just a great vegan restaurant in Thai town, it’s a great Thai restaurant - period. Highly recommend!!

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT OF ALL TIME - Edit
I LOVE LOVE this place. The flavors are perfectly balanced and consistent in every bite. I love that out of most of the restaurants in Thai Town (meat restaurants!!), Salaya has the MOST regionally diverse menu. I get to sample dishes from all over Thailand that aren't even available at other restaurants nearby. You will not be disappointed. SALAYA4EVER💗

My favorite LA restaurant - Edit
Wow, my new favorite restaurant in LA. The food was delicious and presented like art. The portions were generous and price is inexpensive. We ate dinner and went back for lunch. All the help were sweet. The owner was generous to treat us an appetizer (larb) and dessert (crème brûlée). We are definitely going back when we are in LA.

Salaya Slayin It! - Edit
Incredible Thai stop. Big menu. Had the green curry and the Spicy Garlic Noodles with Broccoli and an order of the shoestring fries. The kitchen was immaculate, the dining room bright and pristine. Service was awesome and lightening fast. The food was out of this world delicious. After four months in Thailand I was very satisfied with my dinner here.

Very flavorful food, and very nice people - Edit
Salaya is a cut above the Thai/vegan places in the area. Their green curry fried rice is especially flavorful with a fresh taste. Some interesting and tasty Western dishes on the menu as well, such as a "meat" pie. Most items can be made GF (using GF soy sauce) and they are very conscientious about getting your order right. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, with (usually) easy parking in front.

Best Vegan Thai food omg - Edit
Consistently outstanding vegan Thai food from woman owned restaurant. 100% plantbased menu with delectable mock meats like vegan chicken and vegan beef. Menu highlights for me are Buffalo wings (they include a little bamboo “bone”, so tasty and tender, better than real chicken wings IMO) Pad Kee Mao with Vegan Chicken, Pad See Ew with Vegan Beef. Egg rolls are also good. The wonton soup was a little bland compared to my homemade, but I enjoyed it. I love that they include lots of fresh crisp green veggies with all the entrees. We order from here for delivery (Grubhub/ DoorDash) and the food always arrives piping hot and packaged well. Good sized portions. When we have picked up in person, The location for indoor dining is cute, clean and modern with parking out front. Can’t wait to try more menu items

Best vegan Thai - Edit
Hands down, best vegan Thai restaurant I’ve been to this side of the ocean. The flavors, aroma and presentation are as good and better than most Omni Thai restaurants. Flavors are authentic, spice levels were just right and service was a delight. Anyone and everyone will enjoy this place, vegan or not.

YUMMY! - Edit
I get this food delivered by Door Dash. The empanadas and orange chicken are my absolute favorite. I've ordered the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai with no spice level because I don't love spicy food. Sometimes though it's still spicy and I just suffer through with a glass of water nearby. Still would order from here because it's all vegan.

Nice food, but service was rushed - Edit
We enjoyed the food, but they kept coming to our table to ask if we were done, which was strange because there were plenty of open tables. We would have enjoyed more if the service was more relaxed.

Very delicious thai - Edit
This is really good thai food. 4 stars for the fried banana ice cream. The bannanas were frozen and the ice cream was like watered down. Really weird. Coconut soup and pinneaple fried rice was amazing though.

The potstickers here were the best I’ve had. The fried banana and coconut ice cream was the best dessert of my life. Even before I was vegan I haven’t had something so good. Food was exceptional/amazing. Please go here if you have the chance!

Best food I’ve had in a long time - Edit
Wow! My friend (omni) and I (vegan) adored all the food we ordered. We chose three starters to share and two entrees plus a side of brown rice, so that we could bring home lots of leftovers.
Read moreI have to admit the leftover orange chicken and the pad see ew tasted great cold right out of the fridge (I didn’t want to wait to heat it up!!). The entrees (spring roles, dumplings, and seaweed quinoa rolls) all heated up well in the microwave.
The service was quick, efficient, and friendly.
This was near the Hollywood Walk of Fame although not within easy walking distance.

Amazing Vegan Thai Food! - Edit
Picked up a to-go order from Salaya and was super thrilled - delicious. I ordered the grilled dumplings, the orange chicken, and the fried rice with pepper steak. I liked the vegan chicken better than the vegan steak but all 3 items were delicious. The orange chicken was so flavorful and it tasted amazing! Wow! I’m truly so impressed!

Flames! - Edit
Absolute flames! Everything I ordered was delicious! I had the seaweed quinoa rolls and the Eggplant Phad Phrik. The seaweed quinoa rolls are unique and tasted fantastic! I highly recommend them. The eggplant phad phrik came with curry sauce and it was fantastic as well. I ordered bia UberEATS and everything was packaged well. What I really appreciated is that the eggplant dish came in its box but was sitting on tin foil. This was nice because I was able to just dump the curry sauce on top of everything without it spilling through. Definitely appreciated since I was in a hotel with no plate or bowl. I look forward to ordering from here again when I visit LA again soon.

Delicious vegan Thai! - Edit
So delicious, and has become our go-to spot for vegan Thai! Kow soi, khao mun gai, blazing chicken, pumpkin curry, and tom kah soup are all great. The bleu burger is the best vegan burger I've had, and the fries are so good. We're still exploring the menu, too--the snap pea salad is a new fave!

Kick ass Thai food - Edit
I recently moved to Thai town/Los Feliz area and have become a regular at this place. The food is always consistent, flavourful, and affordable. The Tom Yum soup, orange “chicken”, and wings are some of my favourites. There’s something for everyone; they also serve non-traditional Thai food like burgers and sandwiches. Give it shot if you’re craving kick ass Thai!
