Serves meat, vegan options available. Predominantly a salad bar open over lunch. Also sells soups, potato dishes and sweet and savoury flammkuchen. Besides vegan salads on the menu it is possible to build own including toppings like tofu, hummus, sweet potato or avocado. Dressings are house-made but not all are vegan. Great healthy lunch

Salat und Freunde (salad and friends) is a local salad bar on the main street of Poppelsdorf. Opening only over lunch it is a great stop for a salad, soup or baked potatoes. Seating is available inside and outside and the staff is friendly and nice. Portions are generous and low priced, my salad (peanut chili dressing!) was super delicious.

Pros: Huge fresh salad bar, Convenient location, Run by locals

Cons: Can get crowded at times
