Nice concept

Nice taste and wonderful soup. We took the dinner course. The salad, soup, Yakitori were amazing but the main dishes were not so special ( I got ramen and my husband katsu set with vegan eggs). Will definitely go back to try other dishes!

Pros: All vegan, Creative, Stylish

Cons: Pricey

Amazing vegan Unaju

Lunch course 2000 yen was amazing! I had non vegan unaju when I was a little and it tastes much better than non vegan unaju. I'll come here again ☺️

Fantastic food and service

Delicious lunch set with soup, green beans salad, dessert and tea. Main was curry which was full of umami and vegetables (with a vegan egg added for extra texture)! Dessert is the popular blueberry cheesecake which was amazing - must try!

Pros: Many mains to choose from, Friendly service, English menu and staff who can speak English

Splendid!

A must visit being if you are a vegan in Tokyo! Delicious food and a very kind staff which is more than willing to give further explanations about the menu. The taste was just right and presentation very pretty. The vegan blueberry cheesecake is my recommendation 😋

Pros: No refined sugars , Some organic products, English menu

本気のビーガン日本料理

Every dish that’s served at Saido will give every vegetarian and vegan the true sense of Japanese cuisine. It’s a must go for traditional yakisoba, unagi, and katsu on rice. All dishes have a rich and deep flavour and texture that will make you want to come back. The staff don’t try and rush you to order from the menu, you can take your time and relax here.

Pros: Friendly staff, English menu, Fast service

Cons: Reservation is necessary during busy times

Delicious

Delicious lunch sets and great service. Got the Miso ramen for main dish, I was pleasantly surprised. Full of flavors! I have no complaints except for that I am now wobbling away, very full.

Highly recommend

If you want to have traditional Japanese food, but vegan, Saido is the place to go. They create “meat” dishes out of vegetables rather than the usual soy meat, and it’s incredibly well done. I don’t think you would know it was vegan if someone didn’t tell you. I had the yakitori (highly recommend), vegan eel, and blueberry cheesecake.

Pros: Fair prices, Vegetables used in innovative ways, All vegan!

Cons: Top secret recipes, I want to learn the magic😉

I will come again!

I found Saido on Happy Cow and Google. I'm staying downtown Tokyo and I'm very glad that I have found this wonderful place 1 hour from my hotel (my favorite coffee shop is Onibus in Megero city so I took an espresso on my way there). The location is easily accessible by metro and the surrounding are originally surprising, well aligned with the plant-based concept! I took the "Saido Lunch". People are very friendly and the service is excellent. Presentation is aesthetically pleasing and above all original. Food tastes very good. Music is tasteful. Ambiance is good and cozy. There's a strong attention to details. I can write more positive things about my experience but I'm gonna let you discover the rest by trying it by yourself!

Pros: 100% plant-based, Friendly staff and owner

Cons: None

Unbelievable experience!

Can't believe I've been living in Tokyo for few years and only tried this amazing restaurant now! The atmosphere, service, price... And above all, the flavors!
Meat eaters would find it hard to believe that this food is vegan, and then jealous for how delicious it is. Highly recommended!

Pros: 100% vegan, Unique Japanese cousin, Price, service and the food is amazing...

Cons: None

Overrated

We came to this location after we read all the positive reviews so We connected the visit with our Stay in Tokyo. We really did look forward to Have this special experience everyone is talking about but me and my husband were dissapointed...My hubby tried the ramen which was bland. The Curry which I ordered was to spicy.
We are Vegan many Years and we ate in many places. Maybe we set our expectations to High. There are definetly better places in Japan.

Pros: Nice location, Nice ambiente , Food decoration

Cons: Overrated, Food was bland, slow service

Lovin' every bit of the experience!

We had such a wonderful time. The food is super yummy with so much flavour and they are beautifully garnished . We were welcomed by super friendly stuff, cosy, warm and clean atmosphere too.

We are family of one vegan and 5 non vegans and it is often a struggle to find a place that makes everyone super happy. Saido is definitely the place. They have dish to enjoy full potential of vegetables as well as interesting and well made mock meat dish. We ordered a lot of dish and everything was just devine. Price is also very reasonable considering the quality of the food and service.

Very happy customers here. Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone who is looking for a restaurant that is inclusive and enjoyable. Also the chef is a bit of eye candy😉

But the food... the food is AMAZING. Not only very very good but the presentations are surprising!! Like smoke coming out of your salad! We were very entertained!
On top of everything, it is not really expensive.
