Best hummus ever - Edit
Delicious food, the hummus and pitta was my favourite and so tasty. Best hummus I’ve had. Lots of options to pick from too

Absolutely recommended!!! - Edit
Loads of vegan and vegetarian options. We ordered two main courses, two starters and a dessert and it all was great. The positions were huge and the price more than fair. We only found it by accident as it's way further up the road than all the other restaurants in tigaki. But I can tell you, the few extra meters are totally worth it!:)

Large vegan menu - Edit
My wife had vegan gyros and I had hummus, briam, fried courgettes and tzatziki. All was good apart from they accidentally brought me non-vegan tzatziki which thankfully I noticed as it looked different to what my wife had with her gyros. They promptly rectified the mistake and were apologetic but it’s worth double checking with them that what they serve you is definitely vegan when it arrives. The tzatziki in my picture is the non-vegan one - the vegan tzatziki is a lot thinner and tastes largely of coconut.

Just ok - Edit
Good vegan options, but not something to return to. My husband had kebab which he did not like. I had stuffed wine leaves and vegetables and that was good.

Vegan Menu?! Say what?! - Edit
Coming to Kos I had accepted vegan choices would be poor, but lo and behold, thanks to a previous review, we saw this place had a vegan menu! (Oh and don't be fooled by the vegetarian menu - that's a separate one).
Read moreThe choices are generally good - stuff like pasta, gyros, cooked vegetables, typical Greek cuisine (vine leaves and tzatziki) and even schnitzel and vegan meatballs. But having these options in Kos makes it amazing.
The food we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. The waiting staff are super friendly and nice and know what vegan means(!), though they might not be able to tell the difference between vegan and vegetarian which happened in a mix up in our case, but they were quick to correct it.
I do recommend any vegans in the area wanting choices and delicious ones at that(!) come to this place and support it😄

Good choice of vegan Greek food - Edit
Service - 10/10. We spoke with the owners and they brought out a vegan menu and were keen to show off their vegan offering. They make their own olive oil, which is really really nice, and grow some of their own vegetables in the back (vine leaves, peppers etc). The service was brilliant, they were very welcoming and they take pride in their restaurant.
Read moreThe vegan offering in Tigaki hasn't been great and, although only our second night, we have really struggled to find anywhere that offers traditional Greek food (Dolmades, stuffed tomato and peppers without cheese (and they were not able to remove the cheese, which is quite concerning) etc) without meat. All Dolmades in Tigaki seem to have minced meat. Sagittarius offers traditional Greek food and traditional vegan greek food in Tigaki, some of which is grown in their own garden (which makes this restaurant a 5/5 for me, but as per Happy Cow rules you’re not allowed to give that unless they’re fully vegan/vegetarian!).
Must try their Dolmades with Tzatziki and their extra virgin olive oil with bread.
Pros: Grow their own vegetables, Make their own olive oil, Passion for their restaurant and vegan offering

Ordinary vegan greek food. - Edit
The vegan options are okay. They taste good and I am glad, they have so many. Nevertheless, the food is not anything special and you can find way better options on Kos island. 🌊🌴
Read moreYou also have to pay extra for the bread, which is not common in Greece. It was not even part of the vegan Tzatziki. 🥖
But we got shots of Ouzo and peach schnaps on the house, which was great!🥃💓
Pros: A lot of vegan options
Cons: Nothing special, Have to pay extra for bread

Thank you for your review of your meal. While you mention that we offer a good choice for vegan diners you decided to choose mainly side orders. Bread is always charged for in Greece, sometimes it's not made obvious though which is a trick of some restaurants. The menu states clearly which items include pitta bread.

Tasty and healthy - Edit
Ordered the vegan schnitzel which came with fresh veg and potatoes. Nice to have potatoes rather than chips for a change! I wasn't sure what to expect with the schnitzel, but it was very tasty. I believe it had a mix of different veg inside, with a delicious crispy coating. Reminded me of stuffing! Bit like a roast dinner, only without a gravy. Would have actually been nice to have some sort or sauce or gravy as the veg was a little bland.
Read moreAnother small issue is that there seemed to be more vegan options mentioned on the board outside, but mainly vegetarian things mentioned on the menu inside.. I hope they'll sort a separate vegan menu or section! 😊
Pros: Large portion size, Healthier option but still tasty!
Cons: Side of main meal a bit bland , Unclear what was vegan on menu (needs a section)

Thank you for you lovely review. Please note that we have a specially dedicated vegan menu - all you need to do is ask the waiter to bring it to you.

Great find ! - Edit
Really enjoyed it here ! Ordered fried aubergine and briam for starter. Aubergine skin was a tad chewy but really nice! Vegan schnitzel for mains — which was tasty and had a nice crunch to it! Though the texture was a little bit mushy inside. Considering how few vegan friendly restaurants there seem to be in Kos I would say this is a must!

Delicious food and lots of choice - Edit
Already on the menu on display, we had seen a number of Greek vegetarian options and had considered coming here. But when we read in a previous review that the restaurant even had a separate vegetarian menu, we were sold. During our visit we were pleasantly surprised about the wide variety of Greek vegetarian dishes to choose from. We chose quite a range, and enjoyed very delicious food! It was quite oily, but that seems typical in this cuisine. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for its wide variety of veggie options and its delicious food!

Loved this restaurant! - Edit
Before coming on holiday I had emailed the owner about the vegan options and to my delight the lady said she had a separate vegan/veggie menu! It was brilliant, all of the food was delicious, lots to choose from, large portions. We came back twice whilst on the island, but wish we had gone even more! A lovely family own and run this restaurant and all were charming, funny and accommodating :)
