It was so good it brought tears to my eyes - Edit
The Sagar Special Dosa had me gripping the chair and hitting the table and thanking God. One of the best meals i've ever had. Highly reccomend the Samosas as well. The service was wonderful. They even brought me a free coffee ❤️

We had a meal before a show, the vegan selection (most of the menu) is great and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the vada.

Great place in Central London - Edit
We have been to Sagar quite a few times and we really like it. As a location you couldn’t get much better! Right across the road from the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Great Indian food! - Edit
Clearly labeled vegan dishes on menu. Had the bhindi okra and The Aubergine dish which taste very different from other restaurants. Spices are well balanced and not over empowering.

delicious Indian flavors - Edit
All vegetarian en more than 50% vegan restaurant, very clearly marked on the menu. Wide choice, delicious Indian flavors. Very friendly staff. Good location near Covent Garden and theaters. Go early for dinner, because it will be full of locals after 18:00h.

Great dosas - Edit
The vegan food was clearly labelled, and the samosas and dosas were amazing! Good service too. We stayed almost three hours, and the food was reasonably priced for central London.

Poor service, mediocre food - Edit
The food I ordered did not take much time to arrive. That was the only good part of my visit. They didn’t serve me water after I was seated. I asked the waitress to bring water when she came with my food but apparently she forgot and I had to remind her a few minutes later to get the water. As for the food, I ordered a masala dosa. It was soggy and soft instead of being crispy. The Sambhar that came with it did not taste good. The coconut chutney was okay. I won’t be going there again.

Open late: We were happy to find this place! - Edit
We were in London and looking for a place that could accommodate the need for vegan and gluten-free food a bit later than normal and so we were very happy to find this place. We always prefer totally vegan restaurants, but we felt confident that the food was both vegan and gluten-free. We found the food to be good, but not great. We got Masala Dosas and Dal. The filling of the Dosas was more like flavored mashed potatoes (Masala dosa flavor) than the chunks of potato normally found in a dosa, so we weren't crazy about the texture, and it was relatively bland. But, we enjoyed it and were grateful to have found a vegan, gluten-free meal at that time of night.

Lovely service and food - Edit
The place was welcoming and the server was always available to help. The food is clearly labeled of what is vegan, which was very helpful! I loved the masala dosa and samosa. I ended up with vegan ice cream on top of a sweet dosa, which was really good.

Issues and food not great at all. - Edit
Food took an hour to arrive.
Read moreFood was lukewarm.
Food was not spicy hot (I'd asked for spicy hot, Madras level).
Uber driver who was waiting to collect meals was sent away twice too. Others were waiting for their food.
In fairness, they said it was an exception as two staff had fallen ill and they couldn't cope with orders. It just wasn't good enough tonight but as I said in their defence they did recognise that it had fallen below what they offer and they apologised. Perhaps it's was just an off day on everything for them. Was just really disappointing as I'd travelled around 40 mins in total from South London to get there.
Pros: Eventually offered to compliment the meal., The big bottles of cobra , Location
Cons: Waiting time., Food cold and small portion size., Food not spicy hot
