Fantastic food. Excellent service - Edit
Visited as a group of 6, 2 of us vegans. Could not have been more helpful and were interested in making sure we knew what was vegan or could be veganized. Had poppadums and vegetable pakoras for starter. Shared Chana masala and aubergine bhartha for main with plain rice and vegan garlic naan. Everything was absolutely delicious. Service excellent throughout. Cannot wait to return. Update: returned Oct 24. Still extremely helpful and welcoming to vegans! More delicious food and excellent service!

Amazing staff and amazing food - Edit
Wholeheartedly recommend this amazing restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful throughout, ask them and they will make any menu item vegan. The food was great, we ordered the vegetable samosa as a starter and shared since it comes in two parts.

Easy - Edit
Asked if the vegetable korma could be made vegan and this was completely fine. Also had onion bhajis, garlic naan and basmati rice and staff confirmed these were all suitable for vegans

Good flavors - Edit
Had the chana masala with garlic naan bread. Good flavors! Pretty cheap, not many vegan options but enough for us.

Saffron - Edit
Sehr lecker! Es gibt einige vegane Gerichte. Die Portionen könnten etwas größer sein. Es lohnt sich jedoch auf jeden Fall :)

Super tasty and many options - Edit
The staff were super helpful, loads of veggie options and they were happy to change dishes to make them vegan. It was super easy to order and it was so delicious and great value for money. The staff were fully understanding of vegan requirements and made great suggestions. I had the vegetable korma which they veganised for me and the vegetable pakora for starters. Very delicious and great portion size. I also visited with non vegan friends who were all very satisfied with their food as well. If you book a table through TripAdvisor you can get a discount. I would recommend and I'd go back again.

garlic lentils with meat taste - Edit
I'm sorry to say this but the garlic lentils I ordered were not vegan, not even vegetarian, the oil they use to fry had a very strong meat taste- although I had asked the staff before and they said yes it's vegan. I couldn't eat it, no way! I usually love indian food but this was very disappointing, can't recommend the place.

Amazing Indian restaurant with many vegan/vegetarian options - Edit
We found this restaurant in the small village of La Luz. The owner was extremely nice and showed us the dedicated section in the menu for vegetarian (a lot of vegan too) options. We had the eggplants and vegetable korma which were amazing. On top, the vegetable samosas are delicious.

Good Indian restaurant - Edit
The waiter understood what vegan is and told us to look at the vegetable section of the menu. A few vegetable dishes contain milk (korma, paneer). The samosas are also vegan, but were af first served with a yogurt-based sauce. When we noticed, the waiter changed them for some vegan ones. The samosas and the mains tasted very good (would really recommend the samosas!).

Samosa heaven! - Edit
It's not that easy to find good vegan food in some areas of Portugal but we were well understood and provided for at Saffron. Our absolute favourite though were the homemade samosas. They are amazing and had us going back for more and more. We've never tasted any as good, so much so we were inspired to write a blogpost on our vegan blog (Driftwood Vegans). If you would like to read it and see photos here is the link -
