Bit sussed out - Edit
I forgot where I found this place, I think Google maps and was happy to try local cuisine.
Read moreI was with non-vegean friends and asked them if they understand vegan, and she did ask "no dashi?" - and she did bring a different set than my omni friend.
So while they were nice and trying to help, be aware that some language skills might be helpful and they do not have clearly labeled options.

Not convinced they understand vegan - Edit
I ordered the noodles set and they said sure, we can do it vegan. A side dish tasted very fishy and I'm pretty sure there was oyster sauce on another dish.
Read moreIf you are vegan I would be really clear when ordering, no fish stock or oyster sauce.

Great atmosphere - Edit
Nice restaurant in traditional japanese house. Offers home made noodles and desserts. Menu in english but you have to ask what is vegan (there is lot of options)
