Cheap and tasty

Nice and casual outside seating, friendly staff and cheap prices! We really liked the momo soup and thali. The thali doesn’t come that warm and they don’t seem to change it from day to day much, but it was pretty good and it’s all great value for money! Would recommend.

Very tasty but not fully-vegan

We went here for more traditional food and trying our first momos. We had to ask what's vegan, but they knew and proposed what could be left out to make it vegan (e.g. paneer). The curries and momos very really tasty. Even though we waited a bit for the meal to be made, we can recommend it for the taste!

Pros: Tasty, Vegan options , More transitional

Cons: Not fully-vegan, Meals might take some time to be finished

Amazing food! Vegetarian and vegan

The flavours were amazing. Nice staff. Understand what vegan is. Would recommend the mo mo. And the curries were so tasty. And order paratha with it, the onion, carrot, mushroom and garlic are vegan for sure.
And everything is very cheap by the way (except for the beer!)

Delicious Food & Excellent Service!

I stumbled upon this place tonight after getting lost looking for another restaurant. The waitress was really knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations. I tried the spicy mushroom momos and an onion paratha. Both were delicious! The prices were really cheap and I’ll definitely be going again 😊

Do not go as a tourist

I went to this place specifically because of the reviews, meet locals, amazing food... but nothing could be further from the truth. We were given the menu right away which was nice, was told they had beer so we ordered a couple. I will be sincere and say that I am basing this review after going to "Sat Saheb" and "Loving heart Vegan restaurant" quite a few times. The price of food was inexpensive for the most part but we were charged 500 for each beer which came as a huge surprise. The food was not hot, not at all what was expected, the mo mo's did not resemble the day time picture. I wonder if it's because we came during the evening. We were surrounded by many locals but they kept to themselves.
I will not visit this place again based on the other options in the area

Pros: We received service with a smile, Was given the English menu right away

Cons: Expensive , Not amazing quality, Not a night time visit

Yes, yes, yes

Thank you to Mr Happy Cow himself, Ken, for bringing this spit to our attention, we saw his review so went to visit on the same day. We were both in town as guest speakers at first ever Himalayan Vegan Festival…

Simple local veg restaurant with a difference. The staff fully understand the difference between vegan and veg, confidently helping us order and then re confirming that our chosen dishes were butter and milk free, even declaring them vegan!

Delicious Nepalese Thali and excellent momos, in a quiet garden setting, surrounded by locals. Perfect.

Eat Momos With The Locals

For less than 5 US dollars, you can have a delicious Nepalese/continental feast. Unlike the other restaurants I have been to in the Thames area, this is a place just outside of the main arra, and you can meet and eat with the locals instead of merely meeting other tourists.

I had two tyoes of Vegan momos. One veg and the other veg with chili. They are light and delicious and the dipping sauce is I could enjoy as a soup.

Pros: Many vegan options, Inexpensive, Lovely food servers

Great recommendation, loved this spot, I’ve got an excellent video of the staff servicing my food and saying “no dairy, no butter, only veggies, all vegan” love it

Great veggie local restaurant

Delicious vegan Nepali food. Traditional restaurant full of locals for a very affordable price (it's actually insanely cheap). The service is super kind and nice and people will be happy to have a chat with a tourist when they see you. There are plenty of vegan options and the ones which are not vegan, are vegetarian.

Pros: Plenty of super tasty vegan options, Very cheap, Great service
