When we visited, the only available flavor was chocolate. However, it was quite good, & we were happy to buy some! You need to ask for the vegan fudge, as we did not see it on display. We heard that vegan peanut butter fudge is available elsewhere.
Vegan fudge is not in the case. Ask for it. All four locations on main street have it. It's very fudgey and delicious. Sanders fudge was more like chocolate candy, very firm vs the dark chocolate soft fudge texture.
The nondairy fudge is in a Tupperware of shame in the back, you have to ask for it and know it's there. I think Sander's fudge is more fudgy (but didn't quite set up all the way), and this fudge tastes like a particularly under baked brownie
As a vegan, it’s great to be able to get something that everyone else goes to Mackinac Island for. However, I’ve had better fudge! You can tell they use cocoa powder instead of melted chocolate as it’s a bit chalky and the texture is not as melt in your mouth as dairy-based fudge. I think a peanut butter option would be fantastic.
Ryba's vegan fudge is made from coconut oil and is a bit weird. Sanders fudge shoppe also has vegan (soy based) fudge and it's delicious! HappyCow won't let me add a review for Sanders unfortunately.
I tried the vegan fudge from Zak & Mac, and it was awful, so I didn't have high hopes for this one, but it was really good. Usually I find fuge too sweet, but this one was more chocolate-y like a brownie. I highly recommend getting some.
I was thrilled to get fudge on Mackinac Island. It's pretty good fudge too although I wonder how fresh it is. It's not with the rest of the fudges behind the glass so you have to ask for it. They keep it in a box on a shelf behind the counter.
2020 Update:
Vegan fudge not eligible for mail orders, as they ONLY make it during the summer. :(
Earlier:
I travelled almost 2,200 miles from Nevada to Mackinac Island. Just for the vegan fudge. I haven't had fudge for almost 25 years. I stumbled into the store and got a sample. OMG. Sheer bliss.
Only vegan flavor is dark chocolate. Life can't get better than that. I didn't care how much it cost. Between 2 stores, I bought 6 POUNDS! That should last me a while😄
I just emailed their office to thank them for making the fudge. Hopefully, that will show that vegans want junk sweets and won't discontinue it :)

I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but my husband said he preferred Ryba's chocolate fudge to Sanders.

Just Okay - Edit
Was not on display and kept in a tote. Tasted okay but was like a thick brownie. Family who are not vegan said it wasn't too camperable.

Double chocolate vegan fudge is fine. If you want fudge, get it. If you require something delicious, you'll be disappointed.
