Solid vegan options for a breakfast spot - Edit
Considering their main fare is pancakes or waffles, I was really surprised to find they had vegan options available, including a few scrambled tofu options. There are even vegan AND gluten free options, which is always pleasantly surprising. I had the vegan popeye, but be aware the sausage is not gluten free. I did ask, but for me it's not the end of the world in small quantities like that.

Breakfast spot - Edit
One of the few places that does great vegan breakfast options in northern NJ. Tofu scrambles, French toast, and alternative milks available for your coffees and lattes. Even though there’s lots of seating, it can get pretty busy on the weekend. Be prepared to wait. But it’s worth it!

Extensive vegan breakfast choices - Edit
They have vegan pancakes, challah french toast, waffles, wraps and various tofu scrambles, including one of the daily specials. I had a Popeye scramble with tofu, spinach, mushrooms, and avocado. The space is an old fashioned breakfast place with wooden booths. Good coffee. I wanted to try everything!

Wow - amazing vegan food! - Edit
I was visiting a friend in Rutherford and we decided to go here for lunch since they had vegan options. When I got there, I couldn’t decide what to get so I ordered two meals - the vegan French toast Americain and vegan Santa Fe quesadilla. They were both AMAZING! The leftovers were delicious too. Highly recommend this to anyone vegan looking for a good meal😄

I came all the way from Baltimore for this. - Edit
Okay, maybe I was in town for work. But that’s beside the point. I had the French Toast, sausage, and home fries and it was amazing. The only thing missing was ‘eggs’ which I wouldn’t have had room in my stomach for anyway.

The best vegan breakfast in NJ - Edit
I always go to RPH when I’m home visiting my fam. You can go there with the whole family vegans and non-vegans alike because the menu serves both and has a vegan version of virtually everything on the menu.

Amazing! - Edit
Busy place, went on Sunday and had to wait a little. It went really fast to get table though. Friendly environment, staff was very nice, reasonable prices. Small menu (which is a plus) yet great options to choose from. Had challah French toast and scrambled tofu mexicana. Both delicious. Definitely worth a trip!

Amazing food! - Edit
I come here a little too much, but I really love their food. It’s not an insane amount of options, but it’s enough to be able to pick different foods. I always end up getting their vegan quesadillas! So good.

Great place for Vegans! - Edit
I go here often and it is always a win. I am sad because they used to have vegan nachos and vegan Monte Cristo but they took it off the menu. So now We usually get the Santa Fe Quesadilla and the Challah French Toast and coffee with nut milk. Great place to go to when you are hanging with friend/family who arent vegan.

Not so great - Edit
Was excited to try out this place. Unfortunately their vegan options are not up to par for me and my guy. I appreciate they have the options for us vegans but truly I wish they would put more effort i to making it taste good. I had the vegan quesadilla and it was kinda gross. Mind you I love tofu prepared the right way, they need to press that sucker and add some flavor! There was literally a hint of avocado. My man got the vegan burger and it was obvi a pre-made patty. He was disappointed. So the vegan menu I feel is a after thought, nice idea but needs better execution. Wont be back.

The vegan pancakes you’ve been searching for... - Edit
I had vegan blueberry pancakes with vegan sausage and it was all SO good. They had vegan butter as well which really made it feel like a nice home cooked breakfast. They had a ton of vegan options on the menu (including an entire tofu scramble selection, French toast, waffles, burger, etc). I’ll definitely be returning.

I had their vegan pancake and by recommendation by server to have the fresh fruit inside as "taste better". I will say wasn't the best or worse suggestion but Good. Also had vegan sausage which was good!

Thanks 4 the pancakes. Better than Champs (in terms of pacakes only) - Edit
I've lived down the street from here for years and didn't know it existed til recently but I've been so many times for their pancakes. They have tofu scrambles and vegan quesadillas. And soy shakes. I love them. Their vegan pancakes are somehow better than the ones from the all vegan Champs Diner in brooklyn.

Nothing finer than eating at this diner - Edit
Affordable, delicious diner food. The breakfast items are really good. Pancakes, challah french toast, french toast stuffed with sweetened cream cheese and strawberries, waffles, and more. So far we've steered clear of the tofu scramble per other people's suggestions but they sound good. They have two milkshakes, both really good...cookie dough or chocolate. Depending on your server, it'll either be a huge amount of deliciousness or a usual amount of deliciousness...either way, you're golden. The texas fries...aka chili cheese fries...are good but if you ask to sub the home fries for the french fries, it'll be amazing. They did this for us twice but both times the servers were unsure if it could be done. Not only can it be done but the chef does a great job. The stuffed french toast (described above) is my favorite so far, though both people I was with didn't love it. The pancakes are consistently great, same as the challah french toast. Depending on your syrup consumption, you can ask for real maple syrup ($2 upcharge) and although it seems like it's for one person, you can easily use it for several. There were three of us there last time and we all used it plus had some left over to take home. Definitely recommend doing this. The soysage is good too. Been there three times and each time has been really good. Street parking only, which is free on sundays. There's usually a little wait on weekends but you can call ahead.

Absolutely Outstanding - Edit
We ate here twice in one weekend, once having breakfast dishes and once having lunch dishes. The vegan challah French toast is stellar--three huge, thick slices, just brilliant. We also tried the Popeye tofu scramble, which was delicious, as well as a side of vegan sausage (also yummy). For the lunch we had the supreme veggie burger (the kind of burger that's more like a veggie patty, not a soy burger) with sweet potato fries, and a seitan parmesan sandwich with fries. The french fries were well-done, browned and crunchy, EXACTLY how I prefer them, and I didn't even ask--I guess that's just how they do them. Perfect. Beverage-wise, they had lovely fresh-squeezed orange juice, and a genuine NY-style chocolate egg cream (essentially chocolate soymilk with seltzer, frothed up a bit). Everything was outstanding, the atmosphere was charming, and the staff was nice as could be.
