Authentic Gujarati Cuisine - Edit
We tried the Dhokla and Undhiya (both vegan) along with the Bajra roti (millet) and poori and they were absolutely delicious and authentically spiced.
Read moreIn any Indian place you have to emphasize vegan otherwise it’s traditional to lightly drizzle some ghee on the roti.
Pros: Dhokla, Undhiya, Bajra roti

Nice food with no onion/garlic options - Edit
This is one of the best restaurant we found in DMV area which caters a wide range of options without onion and garlic. The food was tasty and welcoming. Ambience can be improved a bit but I was fine as food options was my priority.

Best vegan Indian food around - Edit
We went and took advantage of their Monday-Friday $10 per person lunch buffet.
Read moreEvery item is clearly marked vegan or vegetarian and to my surprise half of the items were vegan and they even had one vegan and one vegetarian dessert.
The food was amazing and there were plenty of items that I had never seen or tasted before and we have been to a TON on Indian restaurants around the country.
If you are looking for an American version of Indian food this is not your place but if your up to trying something new and authentic this is a must try.
They also have a huge non alcoholic cocktail menu that is super tasty as well.
The only downsides are it is VERY hard to find and the customers kept on looking at us funny and my guess is because we were the only non Indians there. Other than that it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!
Pros: Lots of vegan options., Authentic Indian food., The monday-friday lunch buffet was super cheap
Cons: It was hard to find

Serendipity - Edit
We were headed to a completely different town. When we realized we'd taken a wrong turn we decided it was fate and looked on happy cow for a place to eat and would up here. OMG it was fantastic. They were super accommodating, taking us around the buffet to show us the vegan items and even bringing us a vegan bread. I definitely recommend this place and will look forward to returning when we are in the vicinity. Yum.

don't let the outside fool you - Edit
Strange location in an industry park. It doesn't even look like a restaurant. But go in and try it out! The inside is beautiful and the food divine! This vegetarian Indian restaurant has numerous vegan options. Staff was very helpful in picking out different items.

Rupa Vira’s The Signature - Edit
So great to have this wonderful Indian Vegetarian restaurant in the neighborhood!
Read moreI am a vegetarian, and a lover of good Indian food. I tried this new restaurant with anticipation, and was not disappointed. Great food, friendly owner and staff, clean bathrooms, pleasant experience!
On my first visit, I tried the lunch buffet. There was a lot of variety. I particularly enjoyed paneer butter masala (Indian cheese in a light tomato sauce), palak (spinach in a spicy sauce), garlic potatoes, lemon rice, undhiyu (mixed vegetables, including eggplant ), fresh naan from the tandoor. Everything was moderately spiced, not oppressively hot. Just the way I like it.
The meal was delicious, and a good value. I will definitely be back soon.
