Rumi is a great option in Wicker Park for a quick bite. I'm not the healthiest vegan around, and I love Rumi for having both middle eastern food and french fries!
Read moreThe falafel pitas come with a tahini sauce that is vegan, not a dairy-based tzatziki, and they have a spicy sauce available that's also vegan.
It's fast, it's affordable, and when you want deep fried falafel with a side of deep fried potatoes, Rumi is there for you. And the staff have walked me through the vegan status of the dishes multiple times.
