So good, we’re absolutely going back

Small pastry shop located in a side building of the Greenwhich market, it’s a must-stop. All of the pastries look amazing. Wish I could try them all. We’re absolutely going to go back to this place when we have the chance!

Ruby’s

Ok if you like the spongy types of dessert.
Variety depends on the day. They have cupcakes, cakes and baked donuts, of which about half gluten free.
Also a few savory options.

I had the gluten free brownie cup cake and it was good, for a cupcake :)

I can’t say I was blown away, but a shop like this to be 100% plant based is really rare so I appreciate that.

Lovely cakes!

Lovely selection of desserts, cakes and drinks. Options don't change all that often but they are lovely. Especially the orange bundt cake!

Always worth a visit

So many tasty cakes and I really enjoy their quiches too. I tried a schnitzel in a bun once and it was excellent. I’ve been going since they were a market stall and now they’re in a lovely little cafe.

Great bakery in Greenwich Park

The location is perfect to combine a nice walk in Greenwich Park (weather permitting) and an improvised break to have a slice of cake as a treat. If you don't go there too late in the day, they'll have many gluten-free options, otherwise it could be a bit limited.

There is the option to eat inside or in their outside seating area – if you’re lucky to find a spot in the sun, or you can take it away (a bit cheaper as no service charge). I like their classic victoria sponge cake, but I find most of their cakes a bit heavy so a small portion is more than enough. They can also cater for occasions like birthdays, weddings etc.

A real Greenwich gem

Whenever I visit Greenwich it’s always a priority to visit Ruby’s - try a toasted cheese sandwich, you won’t regret it!

Nice spot

Fully plant based menu with tasty food and milkshake options. The doughnuts were not my favourite and the weekend staff were not the most helpful but a nice spot for lunch and meeting with friends.

Good cake

We stopped in on a whim. My partner tried the strawberry chocolate cake, and he said it was good. There were tons of cake and cupcake options and a few savory options as well including breakfast rolls, quiche and salads.

Luscious

Lots of sweet and some savoury options, milkshakes.
I had a tasty, flaky-without-falling-apart warm sausage roll, a very yummy apple crumble cupcake with just the right amount of sweet, and an absolutely addictive, delicious Biscoff milkshake.

Delicious carrot cake

Treated myself to a carrot cake slice and a hazelnut chocolate cupcake at Harrods.
The carrot cake was incredible!! And I’m very picky about carrot cake, almost as good as my mom’s. The cupcake looked amazing but was a bit disappointing the cake was ok m, icing delicious but the donut was very dry and not nice

Lovely place

Picked up lunch to go with my daughter today. The food was super tasty and fresh. The cakes looked amazing so will have to go back another time as we’d already picked up some sweet treats.

Bakery heaven for vegans

I should have taken pictures and done this nearly a year ago when I first went there, but nevermind. Many different cakes, spreads, with the vegan honey being most mind blowing.

Lovely vegan café

I visited Ruby's a few months ago for a piece of carrot cake and cup of coffee, and today I had lunch of a “quiche and two salads” for £8 - the butternut squash mini-quiche warmed up, the potato salad and a bean salad. All very good. I bought a bottle of water kefir to go with them. I took away not one or two but five treats: a generous slice of iced, two-layer cake, two muffins, an amazing stuffed cookie and a mini banana bread. All yum. Buy four or more small items (not the cakes) for a discount. There are several choices of plant-based milks for the coffees and teas. Other savoury items were sausage rolls and schnitzel in a bun.
I really like this all-vegan café. It's within Greenwich Market, off to the side.

Don’t walk here, Run!!

So many options 🤤. From cakes and doughnuts to salads and quiches this place has it all!!
Not to mention the wide range of drink options including vegan milkshakes.
So many gf options too and all taste as good as they look 🤩.

Walked past this gem while visiting a market and I tried the red velvet cupcake and sausage roll. Both were delicious and the woman serving was really friendly!
