Has the staples any vegan needs - Edit
They have the ingredients for vegan recipes laid out like other foods. Unlike other grocery stores, you do not need to spend an hour looking for vegan ingredients, pre-made meals, vegan snack food etc. Another detail is that while the hot bar has the best burritos in the world, it ( the hot bar ) is not open on weekends.

Thanks Royal River for the terrific hummus wraps! We would love to see vegan breakfast sandwiches next time we visit.

Not bad - Edit
I have been lucky to live in major metropolitan areas with markets that have a lot of healthy, natural, and vegan options... so I have a lot to compare this to. I think in general it has a lot of vegan options, and even some I hadn’t seen before! Prices were generally higher than where I live (Baltimore area).

Needs More Vegan Options - Edit
As a local vegan wishing to give Royal River my business, I often don't find what I am looking for. Its vegan options are quite limited—it has very few veggie-friendly soups, sushi, sandwiches, etc, and it doesn't carry almond or cashew milk. The other grocery stores in the area carry more veggie-friendly products. Given that it is a health food store, I would expect more vegan/vegetarian options.

Cons: Limited vegan and vegetarian options, High prices

Vegetarian and Vegan options - Edit
A great place to grab a bite to eat. Though it is a health food store, they have a small kitchen that prepares fresh soups and sandwiches daily. The FBLT is a Fakin Bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich with Veganaise and is vegan. They usually have a vegan soup option as well. In addition to the kitchen items there are many vegan and vegetarian options throughout the store. Grab a bite while sitting in the little dining area in the front of the store! Nice place!
