Bakery
Vegetarian bakery featuring an assortment of pastries that use no eggs or dairy (although they do use honey). Also makes cheese and spinach pies. Sell a range of mainly sweet pastries, though there is savory stuff too. Some of the range is vegan (confirm). The owner, Rosy Soussis, speaks good English and understands what vegan means. Confirmed open as of April 2012. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-11:30pm.

Rose's bakery - Edit
Excellent in taste but too pricey. 6 pieces sprinkled with cinnamon for 16 €. It's 2,6 € per piece. Nice owner.

should have tried the spinache cake.. - Edit
The baklava was good, they had many different styles and they’re all vegan.
Read moredon’t ask the owner if there is honey inside - she will get angry 😂
the prices are a little intransparent as she said it goes from 1€ for the smaller ones to 5,50€ some of the bigger ones.
i had 2 big ones and 3 small ones with one espresso for 22€.
if you like baklava that’s the place to go. maybe ask on advance about the price per piece to not get surprised.
Pros: choices of baklava

Consider before coming - Edit
Rose, the owner is one of those people who are “mean in disguise of an innocent”.. as I came I asked her if there are vegan options after I read here something about it only being vegetarian with few vegan options, so I just wanted to make sure, she replied with a very under the belt answer (but with a smile and welcoming tone): “my darling, I’m 35 years older than you, I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN, OK?”
Read moreIt felt as if she’s trying to look down upon me.
The prices are really high and compared to a product that is just OK, in my own opinion ofcourse.. the sweets are way too sweet, like many others have mentioned here, and there are few savory items as well.. overall I wouldn’t come back just because of her attitude and the pricepoint.

Expensive and nothing special - Edit
We were really excited to go there after having read all the positive reviews. Sadly we didn‘t like 3 out of 5 pieces, one was good and one was okay. We paid 18€ for 5 small pieces which is way higher than the usual prices in this area. The young girl working there was very friendly.

This place was actually unreal. The location, the owner, the FOOD. It's been 9 months since I visited, and I'm STILL thinking about the spinach pie.

Try the baklava! - Edit
It was amazing to see the number of options available here! Almost everything was vegan and a lot gluten free! Tried a few sweets as well as the vegan spinach and leek pie and sundried tomato pie. My favorite thing was one of the baklava rolls. I wish I had gotten more baklava! My recommendation is to come hungry and try several items. We tried to save some to eat later in the day but they melted and got soggy between the hot sun and the syrup. You order from the window outside and the shop owner Rose is extremely kind and knowledgeable!

Tasty food! - Edit
small bakery in the city center. They offer vegan and gluten-free options, the only thing is that the prices seemed exaggerated for what they were, double what you can find elsewhere. The day I went there was a lot of sun and it was not possible to enter, it is attended by its owner, a very friendly woman, and there is no shade to be able to sit and have a coffee comfortably. I have tried pies that were delicious and backlava was very delicious. the price of coffee is €5

Best sweets ! - Edit
This place has the best sweets we’ve had in a very, very long time! The owner is a lovely lady who gave us all the info about all the pastries. Basically everything is vegan with the exception of a few things. We had three things and everything was so good. We cannot recommend this place enough!

Great atmosphere and incredible pastry - Edit
Rose has been doing this work for 30 years and she is always present in the store. She has put great dedication into this endeavour and the products she prepares are simply outstanding and super tasty. She also has a gluten free laboratory dedicated to the creation of gluten free sweets. I've read of people complaining about the prices but you think of the time needed to prepare them, if you consider that is all hand made and home made and that is super healthy, I think it's worth it.

Rosy is super sweet and walked me through all the vegan options…basically everything was vegan except a few things.
We purchased 25€ worth of sweets and we were super impressed with them all. The star of the show were those little round cylinder looking things which were crispy phillo filled with a sesame paste. They didn’t last long between the two of us! We’ll be back for more of those, that’s for sure!
If you are only going to visit one place in Corfu Town, this is the place for an authentic experience!

The food is incredible. I'm vegan, my partner isn't and we both equally love this place. I can't recommend highly enough why you should visit. Rose's warmth makes a visit here even more sensational. We're only staying in Corfu town a few nights yet have been here daily trying new delights.

The sweets were very very good, I think they were like 3 euros each, but it was worth it to me! I was a bit confused by how the shop worked, you can’t go outside and the lady will come to you at the door.

Not impressed. Extremely expensive too. - Edit
I was really disappointed with this place and the way we were treated. Very overpriced and the sweets are not actually very good. The lady was all sweetness and light until we had parted with our money, then she told us we could not sit down, we must leave and move away from the window. I wish we had seen the poor Google reviews before searching this place out.
