Don’t overlook this gem - Edit
Popped in for an early lunch. Separate vegan menu with a great range of options from fungi, full breakfasts to shakshuka. Not only that a lovely bottle of Chenin to wash it down. Was fantastic and a really good price. As always with great food comes great staff, so friendly, helpful and delighted we had enjoyed our food. Everything we had we recommend

Great food and good atmosphere - Edit
We just popped in, and were delighted to find that they have a plant-based menu. All the food was good, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. We've been back a few times since and it can get quite noisy (and booked up) at busy times, but it's well worth a visit.

Good choice of vegan food. Oat milk no extra charge. Lovely place with cute crockery and silverware. My vegan breakfast was quite dry and not the best, but I will go back and try other things.

Charming and Delicious - Edit
A cozy pub and restaurant with kind service and a large vegan menu. You do need to ask for the separate vegan menu. The Korean Cauliflower wings are some of the best I've ever had–a thick crispy coating over firm but fully cooked cauliflower with a tangy soy sauce and charred lime. Delicious!

All day breakfast - Edit
Love this little bar café - it has a dedicated vegan menu including all day breakfast. I had the hummus with a side of chips, but I was also jealously eyeing up my dining partner's 'green machine' sweetcorn fritters and the 'funky fungi' mushrooms on toast :D

Not bad - Edit
I don’t think their vegan menu is anything to shout home about but they do put on a good vegan special on occasion.
Read moreETA: they now have vegan macaroni on the menu which is delicious. It is very truffle-y though!

Lovely family-run pub with separate vegan menu - Edit
So glad to have stumbled across this place after walking the Water of Leith route from Stockbridge. They have a separate vegan menu with plenty of delicious looking options. We both went for the bean burger, which was incredible — I particularly loved the mixture of textures with the soft patty and crunchy slaw, and that it came with homemade chips. You can tell they make a lot of effort to cater to vegans, as the super friendly bar staff advised us on what we could order off the drinks menu. The decor and ambience are also lovely. Definitely worth a visit and I’d be here all the time if I lived locally.

Love the atmosphere, the cosy vibe and the friendly staff. The vegan menu has a nice variety of imaginative dishes and we all really loved our food. Dog friendly for now too, hope that continues. Will always return when we are in Edinburgh.

We love Roseleaf in Leith for the lively atmosphere and friendly staff. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options and the menu changes so there is always something new to try. The cocktails and fresh fruit juices are amazing. There is also a vegetarian breakfast which we sometimes go for and the veggie haggis is delicious. We love the decor and there is always different art work on display.

Lovely place - Edit
They have a seperate vegan menu and I ordered the soup, which was labeled as vegan. But because the soup that they have changes daily, on that day it unfortunately wasn't suitable for vegans.
Read moreThe waitress cleared up the misunderstanding after asking the kitchen chef about it. She brought back the menu and helped me find something else. I ended up taking the dahl and the avocado toast. Both were very delicious.
The place is quite quirky and fun.
Pros: Very helpful staff
Cons: Soup labeled vegan wasn't vegan that day

Great place with its own vegan menu! - Edit
This is a quirky little place that provides a separate vegan menu upon request. They are also known for their pot-tails, which are cocktails served in a teapot. As it was a bit early in the day I skipped those but would have loved to try. I ordered the Vegan Breakfast which was a modified Scottish breakfast that also included vegan haggis, which I absolutely loved!!!! Unfortunately the freshly squeezed juice I ordered wasnt the best as the oranges were quite bitter. But all in all a lovely and memorable place with great food! And to avoid being turned away at the door (as I have seen several times while there) MAKE A RESERVATION as it is a small place and very popular

Good effort - Edit
I came to the Roseleaf today with Edinburgh Vegan Meetup to try out their vegan menu and was pretty impressed. I had their vegan breakfast and thought it was quite good, although disappointing to see that they didn't have any vegan margarine and so the toast was dry (on asking they provided some olive oil for it). There seems to be quite a good selection of options on their vegan menu (plus the juices/lemonades on offer were delicious!), and I would definitely come here again.
