The first day we tried the beyond burger, schnitzel and the brownie with vanilla ice cream dessert. They were absolutely delicious!! Very well seasoned, original, great presentation, super taste, great price. For sure one of the best desserts, I ve ever had!
Read moreOn the second day we tried the tofu/bokshoy rice and the gyros. The gyros were also very good. Great taste and texture! Love the mustard sauce et the fried with skin, yummy! The tofu rice was not very special, avoid!

Most items on the menu are vegan. The menu is easy to read and available in English. Appetizers and desserts very good, especially the grilled pineapple and coconut cream with roasted sugar. Main courses are correct. I had the gyros and burger and they were ok, although I have had better. Large portions and very friendly service. The place is worth visiting.

I ordered the pasta carbonara with bacon and Parmesan. The waiter assured me that it was soy free. I came back to the same restaurant for dinner and the server told me that the bacon actually did contain soy, and the pasta is made from dairy. It is vegatarian but not vegan.

Came here for the gyros which did not disappoint, and also had the pineapple which was really different and surprisingly tasty! We also had the tofu which was not good. I assume that the dishes are hit or miss, but it’s a nice place overall.

Everybody wrote raving reviews, so we decided to give it a go. The restaurant itself is in a quiet and beautiful part of Thessaloniki. The food was mostly so-so. We read the reviews and our expectations were high, but the cauliflower steak was bland and rather uninspiring. The gyros was surprising, but the tzatziki was really thick and more like a cheese. The tacos were nice and bountiful.

So greatful for this vegetarian, mostly vegan restaurant. We loved it. My brother had the Beyond Meat Burger, my dad the Buddha Bowl and me, I had the Vegan Gyros. One bottle of water was free. The mango smoothie and the homemade lemonade were also very good.

I like rOOTS. Some dishes are always available, like the gyro wrap, the "beyond meat burger" etc, but the menu overall changes every now and then, especially the appetizers. I have tried some dishes that I loooved, like the "tagliatelle verde pasta with almond sauce and grilled artichokes" (which is on their latest menu). I don't remember the names of the others, as they are not available anymore. The beyond burger is also good (a bit pricey). I have tried some appetizers that I loooved too but they are also not available anymore. Some of their dishes are super tasty, but some are a bit more tastelless in my opinion. The gyro wrap is a bit more dry than my liking, and I have never had a salad that was (very) tasty, just meh. Whatever you order though, you know that the quality of the food is good.
