Menu icons are misleading, pesto pasta NOT vegan - Edit
Was really excited about roots, slightly disappointed that it was challenging to order as a vegan. I was going to get the basil pesto pasta with sun dried tomato (as it had no milk or egg icon next to it) and thankfully double checked that it was vegan. The waiter said no, there was cheese in the pesto, but very nicely went back and checked what items were vegan for me. There were a few vegan options on the menu, but almost all of them had mushroom strongly featured in them. I struggled picking something because I don’t like mushrooms very much. I ended up getting the signature laksa angle hair pasta with mushroom (thankfully mushrooms easy to eat around), which was yummy! I will also say I ordered it less spicy and still thought it packed some heat (I am a bit sensitive to spice, though). Service people were very nice and accommodating!

[JB, Vegetarian] Earlier @roots_malaysia situation. Place is pretty filled on weekends evening. Pretty place with loads of western foodie options. Few vegan options available & probably can veganise a few of the dishes too.

I likey the laksa angel hair most and would recommend to order. My sister likey the carrot cake… indeed not bad… I actually find their carrot cakes better than the carrot cake we had at dimsum place earlier. 😂 also, appetiser- bread slices were served (complimentary).

Western food. Has a bakery inside. The bread is soft and moist. Ordered quite a few items. Serving is big. Price is on the mid side. Will come back if i ever come by.
