Staff were some of the friendliest and kindest there is. The hot chocolate was the best vegan chocolate I’ve ever had. The food was also good, loved the atmosphere

Great little spot - Edit
Just a short walk from the train station. Was worth the trip from Bristol alone. Taster plate is elite, along with the Fish Finger Sarni. So many options.

Amazing vegan cafe - Edit
Roots and shoots is incredible! Me and my mum took a trip to Bath especially to try the food and it was so worth it! My mum isn’t vegan but she is still talking about how great the food was. I highly recommend the fishless finger sandwich and the taster plate. They also have a great selection of cold drinks from companies like Ugly as well as basics like cartons of plant milk and veggo chocolate. My mum had an oat latte and said it was the best coffee she’s had, pretty high praise as we spend a lot of time in Italy. Can’t recommend highly enough! Also we bought our small dog with us, he was on a lead, and the staff were fine with him sitting outside with us which is always a bonus 💖

Not bad just not amazing - Edit
The food was nice enough but I’m just not sure if I’d go back. The wrap I had was kinda greasy and was a bit empty which is a shame. Seen lots of good reviews so might try go back again to see if there are better options. Some of the food just looked like it had been sitting around for a while....

Awesome lunch - Edit
Great little place outside the train station, offered an entirely plant based menu. Tried the taster box which was delicious followed by an oat milk cappuccino and carrot cake which were equally amazing. Friendly staff, good range of chilled vegan friendly drinks too.

Lovely vegan food - Edit
Roots & Shoots is in a great location, ideal if you're coming from the train or bus stations. In a nice lively food quarter, so nice to look out; lovely outdoor seating but misses the sun at lunchtime. Not much seating inside but we got lucky. Nice range of cakes, wraps, and healthier options. I enjoyed the tasting plate (£6.95, a bit of everything - tagine, salad, coleslaw, mac and cheese, hummus, quinoa) but it was ruined by a strange sweet chilli sauce randomly put over everything(?!). Mac and cheese was especially good (a plate for £4.95). Great sausage rolls too (£2.95). Really nice coffee and hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. Would recommend😄

Great vegan cafe :) - Edit
We found Roots & Shoots via Happy Cow while wandering around Bath on holiday. I have to tell you I was so pleased with the experience! First off, I loved the sample plate. The stew and mac and cheese were my favorite. In addition to this, the lady there was sooo kind and gave us a lot of extra food to try, including some AMAZING carrot cake! I would highly recommend everyone to check this place out. It's in a super nice location too, close to the train station so you can easily grab some good while heading into town or before heading out. I hope to come back one day. Thank you for the great food! - Chrissy

Absolutely delicious fully vegan - Edit
I've been coming here since it opened and have LOVED everything I've eaten, there is a wide range of foods and the macaroni cheese is to die for. I've taken many non-vegans here and they've all been blown away by how good vegan food can be. I had my first croissant here since going vegan and I almost cried with joy 🤣

Amazing food, fabulous location. - Edit
Tried the Taster Box and everything on the plate was delicious. Definitely try the stew. The Mac n’cheese was so creamy and flavorful and the sausage rolls (my fav) were bangin. The drinks were equally delightful. It’s been forever since I’ve had a legit cappuccino! The hot chocolate will knock your socks off and was complete with whip and mallows. Literal heaven. If you live or visit anywhere near Bath, this place is a must. Parking hard to find but worth a little walk.

Lots of good options here. I had a delicious Christmas wrap that had a good combination of ingredients, and a sweet chai latte. It's quite small with 2 benches right by the counter, but I like the decor and the server was very friendly.

I will recommend Roots & Shoots to all of my friends. - Edit
Bath is becoming quite the hub for amazing vegan cafes and restaurants, and roots and shoots is among the best of them. It's only been open for a few weeks but already it has won a permanent place in my heart. The staff are talented and friendly, the location makes it ideal for a quick, pre-travel bite and the food is delicious and affordable. I will be recommending all of my friends (vegan or not) to check it out the next time they are in town. The macaroni 'cheese' is immense.

Blooming brilliant! - Edit
Popped in for hot chocolate this morning as it was particularly cold - met with wonderful service from a really lovely guy who was really enthusiastic about all of the products and made me an absolutely delicious coconut hot chocolate with squirt cream and marshmallows - I didn't even have to ask if they were ok for a vegan - everything was! Then bonus time - I got a blueberry croissant, which was absolutely delicious - I will DEFINITELY be back!

I was fortunate to come across this place just as I exited the Bath train station. The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. I had one of the best vegan mac and cheese I have ever eaten!
