Went around 2pm in the afternoon and there wasn’t much of a wait. Got an iced mocha with oat milk, a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie, and a sunshine wrap to go. The mocha was so good…a little on the sweeter side…which I loved but I know that’s not how everyone feels lol. I was a little skeptical about the cookie since I prefer my baked goods with gluten, but it was divine! And lastly, I tried the wrap the next day and it was so good too! Literally everything from this place was delicious! And they used compostable to-go containers! Winning!

Love it, incredible quality food and a good value considering how filling it is. The vibe in this location is nice, love the plants and big open space with lots of seating.
Read moreDefinitely order ahead for pickup because Rooted has you order at the counter anyways and then it can be a long line and a long wait. Ordering ahead solves that and it’s literally my only complaint about an otherwise really great place.

This place goes so far above and beyond satisfying coffee cravings and providing pastries to go along with your caffeine. The immense menu of all kinds of creative coffee drinks such as Vanilla Mint or Maple Cardamom lattes are to die for. And their standard coffees are great too. The food menu and smoothies are awesome. Try the smashed chickpea wrap or salad!

The best cafe in the east bay - Edit
I live on the other side of the hills from this wonderful cafe but go out of my way to visit whenever I can. I haven’t had a single bad drink their. Most recently I had the Maple Matcha Latte which was delicious! The drinks are much less sweet than a lot of other coffee places which I absolutely love. The food is also to die for, you can’t go wrong with any of their toasts. On my last visit I had the breakfast Sammie, which was an absolute delight. I also had a few bites of their ice cream cookie sandwich which I would highly recommend.

This ROOTED location is huge compared to the other one in Pleasant Hill, and the service is great. The Maple Cardamom latte was delicious and so was the apple cider! The smashed chickpea wrap didn't have any seasoning but I was pleased with the portion size though, so if they ever change the recipe I'd try it again. Overall I'm still happy to come here. They also sell coffee beans and t-shirts.

SUPER friendly and kind service. The staff were all really great. The food and coffee were pretty good too but i think pretty expensive for what you get. The avocado toast was delicious but quite small and it’s…really just toast. For $11.

Vegan coffee shop - we came on a Sunday afternoon and they had a dj! We sat outside ‘cause we like it quieter. Coffee was delicious in a cute mug! And the scone and the churro were quickly eaten!

The place is nice and wasn’t horribly crowded on a Sunday morning. Incredible brown sugar latte. The donuts seemed pretty fresh, though they were from an outside bakery. I look forward to tying this place for lunch and a drink.

I love how cheap their day old donuts are! an amazing deal for vegan donuts. the donuts and churro chai are delicious and i’m looking forward to trying more from here! update: got the make it sunny toast for lunch, was amazing and super loaded!! definitely enough toppings to make it a full meal.
