Delicious afternoon tea - Edit
The afternoon tea was really good.
Read moreThe sandwiches were nice but the savouries with them were delectable, especially the mushroom arancini.
Scones were decent (but suspect gluten free as the texture was a little grainy) with proper vegan cream.
The desserts were nice but very cream heavy for me - would have preferred some more cake-y ones.
The elderflower white tea was sublime with everything so I asked for a top up and was brought a huge pot!
Pros: Delicious savouries , Proper cream with the scones , Unlimited tea
Cons: Gluten free scones? , Desserts creamy rather than cakey

excellent pre-theatre fine dining - Edit
We had tickets for the RSC and this restaurant is an excellent option for a pre-theatre vegan dinner. We were given a table with panoramic views across the Avon and out to the hills. Starter was leek and potato soup and mains were a Sri Lankan curry and gnocchi primavera with vegan mozarella. The wait staff were knowledgeable and quick and made sure that all diners had finished their meals in time for the evening's play. 22 pounds each for 2 courses. Very enjoyable...and the play was very good too.

Good food - Edit
They have multiple dedicated vegan menus including; afternoon tea, lunch, dinner and pre-theatre. Lots of choice, yummy food. Fairly expensive, however it’s a really nice atmosphere looking over my beautiful town of Stratford

Riverside Cafe - Edit
The same company also operates the Riverside Cafe on the ground floor for those looking for something less formal than the Rooftop Restaurant. I only had a soy cappucino, but found the atmosphere and views of the river lovelyand the staff friendly. Can recommend for theatre-goers.

AMAZING Vegan Menu - Edit
I went for the pre-theatre three course menu, which was spectacular. The views from the restaurant are stunning, and the food matched. I had the soup, the gnocchi and the pineapple desert. For £26 it was a real treat. We were attending a show and the staff were brilliant at making sure we were able to eat our meal in plenty of time.

Pros: beautiful food with choices, gorgeous views, friendly staff
Cons: can't give 5* as it is not a vegan restaurant
