Super busy local veg restaurant - Edit
We came on a Saturday night, and the place was jam-packed with locals and tourists alike.
Read moreWith that in mind, we were seated at the bar, and the experience was ok.
The food was pretty good, but nothing special.
The fried spring rolls were interesting and tasty for sure.
The friend rice was lackluster.
We also had bok choy with mushroom which were good.
We might be back to try it when it's less busy.
We came back for lunch a few days later. The meal was better. We had fresh rolls, crispy noodles, and Cambodian style crispy rice with tea and coffee. It was a worthwhile meal, but nothing amazing either. A 4/5 on a good day. 🙂

Tofu with taste! - Edit
This place is probably one of the best places we’ve been to during our trip through Vietnam. We shared the bitter melon salad (be careful, it definitely is bitter but the herbs and everything around made it purely delicious). My boyfriend had the tofu mushroom stew and I had the spicy lemongrass mushroom (also included a bit of tofu).

Definitely worth it!! #Veganuary
Pros: Very little amount of non-vegan dishes (w egg), Customers are a mix of tourists and Vietnamese, Very friendly team

Nice and fresh vegetarian place in Hoi an - Edit
Good restaurant in Hoi An with fresh cuisine and huge portions. You can taste that the products are homemade with love, the tea was really great tasty and the soup was huge and with a lot of fillings.

Some allium-free options - Edit
Staff spoke English so we could check which dishes used onion and garlic before ordering. The coconut steam rice looks really good but tastes average. The mushroom fried rice and Mi Quang noodles look average but tastes good! All three can be done without onion and garlic for Buddhist vegetarians.

Big portions, big flavour - Edit
The food here is delicious, which is good because the portions are very generous! Between the two of us we ordered three dishes—a noodle soup, a tofu and rice dish, and Vietnamese pancakes—and we left stuffed! The guests at the table next to us actually happened to order the exact same dishes and couldn’t finish it all. Really great value for money.
Read moreWARNING: The noodle soup comes with a little pot containing innocent-looking orange chilli slices next to a wedge of lime… Do not eat those chillies! We are typically very good with spice but OMG, we just bit off the corner and it blew our heads off. My partner was choking so much I thought he was going to throw up his food! Approach with caution.
Pros: Big portions 🫄, Big flavour 😋, Small prices 💸
Cons: Not vegan 👎

Good option outside of the old town! - Edit
Pleasant facilities, big portions, and tasty food. I managed to drag 4 of my relatives who are meat lovers to this restaurant, and they all enjoyed their dishes (stir fried noodles with veggies)! Big success! The Mi Quang is amazing value. At VND 35,000, it's only VND 5,000 more expensive than at much more basic eateries around town, and you get a bigger portion, plus it's tastier. Will definitely return.

Solid option - Edit
The food was good, the tempura was just meh, it tastes just very fried, but that's on me, just wasn't what I thought it would be, they use different veggies to deep-fry though, so if you're in the mood for that it's good. The pineapple rice was a solid option, thought it could do with a bit more pineapple though. The staff was not the friendliest, but alright. The place is nice.

Generous and tasty - Edit
Had an enormous and very good Mushroom Tofu Stew, which was really tofu and rice with a smattering of mushies. Excellent value at 55,000. Unfortunately, the craft beer I'd thought was available wasn't: only Larue. It was Sunday night and the place was absolutely packed (mainly locals) so the food took a while to come, but it was worth it. Lovely staff.

Nice café atmosphere and friendly people! Had a mushroom "stew" with tofu which essentially was more like a stir fried tofu with a selection of mushrooms in a sauce to die for! Yummy! Make sure to order your coconut coffee without cow milk if you're vegan.

🇻🇳 This restaurant @rom_restaurant located in Danang is quiet & cozy with decors and furnishings that are photo worthy. 📸 The servings are big & sure will eat full. Their ingredients all the way to their greens are generous & well-laid out...got heart in the food lah so to speak.
