Okay but needs better service - Edit
My experience at Rojos was okay. It was not my best restaurant experience, but not my worst either. Overall, it is a decent plant based restaurant, but the service could use improving.
Read moreThe food was great. I had the carne asada quesadilla with a Mexican Coke. The quesadilla was really good and had incredible taste! It was cooked fresh and was nice and hot when I received it. The Mexican Coke was also good.
The restaurant is very small and definitely busy during lunch time. The reason I could not give five stars is because of the wait time for food. The wait time was absolutely ridiculous. I waited probably close to 30 minutes to receive my food to go. With a busy downtown food scene during the week, you would think they would be a little faster. Many individuals waited just as long as I did. The restaurant could definitely improve in this area.
I recommend this delicious plant based Mexican restaurant, but be aware, there will be a wait, especially during weekday lunch hour.
Pros: Great food , Great vibe
Cons: Service, Wait times for food

Best Mexican Food in Seattle - Edit
Seriously the best Mexican food in Seattle. I’m always craving Mexican food that matches TexMex and SoCal which is rare in the city. They have vegan versions of your classic proteins like Carninas and Al Pastor as well as classic beans and refried rice. Plus is right across the street from the light rail.

Best Mexican food I’ve had in the PNW - Edit
Most places we go to lack in flavor or only offer veggies as their meat. This is one of the best places I’ve been to since leaving San Diego #Veganuary

Lucha Libre is super good! You can do a custom burrito vegan. I also really loved Pokez. If you make the trip up to LA you have to try Doomies Next Mex and Cena Vegan. They have some of the absolute best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had

Best Vegan Mexican in Seattle! - Edit
Carnitas and asada were tender and delicious! The horchata was also great. Unfortunately they were out of the Al Pastor. It's right next to one of the Link station exits, so I will definitely be popping in again.

All the food was extremely salty, basically inedible - Edit
I ordered online from Rojos after hearing that it was great. The burrito and quesadillas I got were so salty I could barely eat them. I eat plenty of salty food and junk food and I'm not particularly sensitive to salty dishes.
Read moreI haven't been to Rojos in person, and this is the only time I've had their food, so I don't know if this is how it always is.

Knocked the Socks off my Carne Coworkers - Edit
I brought two coworkers here with the intention of an open, "hey, this is a vegan place, I could barely get a bite on our work trip, let's have one on me."
Read moreSomewhere, this was lost in translation. My friends didn't realize what they were eating. When I went for a bit of my coworker's Carne Asada Quesadilla, he said, "so, you're a vegan, plus carne asada?" Something clicked in him when I chuckled, and he put his food down. The other did the same. "I don't think I've had a better chimi.." one said. He was on the verge of tears, having been so wrong for so much of his life. We all had a laugh, and continued to have one of the best meals of the past week.

DELICIOUS for my heart and my wallet - Edit
I've been meaning to try Rojo's for months now and I finally had the chance to eat there today! Their food is so good and shockingly low priced for vegan food in Seattle. I had two tamales with beans and rice and champurrado, and with a 25% tip it was only $20. Stunning. Tamales were great - I had one Verde and one bean and cheese, and I liked the bean and cheese best bc simplicity = perfection. The champurrado is luscious and creamy and made me want to take a nap. 😂 My only complaint is their location since I'm never in Pioneer Square (I've lived in Seattle for 5 years now and this was the first time I've been there) and parking there is a pain. But I'll brave these horrors to try more of the food at Rojo's, no question.

So delicious! - Edit
Enjoyed the vibe and the food. Rojo's has more authentic style Mexican cuisine, not your average bland TexMex. I had the carnitas burrito with fresh avocado, and couldn't believe how flavorful the rice was. Nice spicy sauce and salsa verde as well. Will definitely be back, maybe for an art walk or before a sports game. Rojo's is a great addition to Pioneer Square!

The best ❤️ - Edit
Goodness, I can't express how wonderful this place truly is! Walking into great music and a clean welcoming atmosphere. My toddler couldn't help but let the music carry him away. ❤️
Read moreWe had ordered:
Chips & Guacamole - both were fresh and delicious. (Toddler approved) Purchased their large bag of chips upon leaving.
Loaded Carnitas burrito - the way the cook their carnitas is so satisfying. My cravings were met to a T.
Cremosa Chick'n bowl - so delicious and loaded. Chick'n was absolutely tasty and full of flavor.
Carne Asada taco - petite and yummy, tortilla fresh and tasty. (Grabbed a lime and radish from the side/salsa bar) was so excited to see fresh radish.
Large side of rice/beans: so yummy toddler had to have more once we got home.
The cashier was absolutely lovely, friendly, and helpful. The cook handled Seattle's walk in beautifully. I mean and of course he is oh so handsome. Definitely will become our regular spot. Haven't found a spot to satisfy my carnitas craving since turning vegan years ago. So I'm thankful for this spot.
Pros: Price, Music, Taste
Cons: Busy streets of Seattle

🏆 Best Vegan in Seattle: Me Gusto Mucho, Graçia! - Edit
Slam packed; it's the best tacos in the PNW. Loved every bite, service was excellent, taqueria was clean, focus was on the food, everything was how it should be and the prices reflected an egalitarian approach to food service success. A lot of food for affordable prices without the useless pretense of upscale, upmarket, bougie bullsh1t.

Delicious burritos! - Edit
We tried the Asada and Al pastor burritos plain (no avocado or sour cream) and wow, they were delicious as is. The Asada was my favorite, it had a bit more acidity than the Al pastor. My partner preferred the Al Pastor but said he’d like to try it loaded next time. He also tried the Horchata and said it was good.
