Great vegan options

Got the vegan buffalo cauliflower bites with vegan blue cheese, vegan cauliflower tacos, waffle fries, and artichoke. All were great. Standard pub food.

No meal options.

Created an account just to say there is a salad, and nothing else.

Dissapointed, significantly less veggie friendly

I was encouraged the previous review and a "Summer 2018" menu on their website to check out Rocker. The online menu had several veggie choices including a "Vegan Caprese" sandwich.

Unfortunately, this was not the menu currently served at the restaurant. I would have thought July was solidly "Summer 2018" but they changed things up in a much less veggie-friendly direction, with fewer vegan and vegetarian choices.

I ordered a drink and an appetizer anyway.

The bartender didn't know their own drink menu, tossed my cocktail together without tasting and it was not well balanced. Didn't order another.

They were out of the appetizer I first ordered so I picked something else. It made me sick to my stomach for the following day.

I really wanted to give this place a chance after reading that they were veggie friendly but I will have a hard time going back.

Rockin' vibe and great food!

On vacation at Squaw Valley, there were no HC-rated restaurants listed! So I had the opportunity to dine twice here, this week. This is a great bar food place that emphasizes fresh, local ingredients. The head chef happy to be vegan so he put some veg options on the menu, which changes seasonally. It's fun for the whole family or apres-ski with your friends.

Here's the breakdown…

Vegan: Tahoe Food Hub salad, Sloppy Joseph and Sun Bowl

Vegetarian but can be made vegan: Dip Trip, Baked Cavatappi and all salads

Vegetarian: Baked Ricotta

Omnivore but can be made veg: Lamb Kefta and all Sandwiches

The first visit, I had the Sloppy Joseph with salad. Personally, I don't like fake meats and this wasn't pretending. The taste of fresh ripe tomatoes highlighted the rich roasted garlic, hearty lentils and light potato bun. The salad was pretty with market greens, julienned beets and mandolin-thin radishes.

My second visit was all about the Sun Bowl. I wasn't as excited to taste this but was happy to be surprised! The sweet potatoes were nicely caramelized. Putting them together with the earthy quinoa and fresh mint was a revelation! The authentic kim chi was a welcome counterpoint!

Veg dessert options include ice cream and sorbet.

Definitely worth a visit…or two!

Pros: Great location in the heart of the resort, Vegan head chef committed to providing veg*n optio, Fresh, local ingredients

Cons: Caters mostly to omnivore clientele
