Outstanding vegan restaurant - Edit
This is a lovely place, seeking to use fresh produce sourced as locally as possible. The restaurant itself is spacious and airy, with a modern calm environment. The menu is wholly original, with a good range of choices to suit different tastes. We enjoyed the fabulous Okonomiyaki and Burrito, prepared and presented to perfection. We liked that River Green bucks the 'small plates' trend (although it looked like this available for those that want it), providing imaginative, curated meals.

Amazing & interesting food - Edit
We come here when visiting our daughter in Norwich. I wish it was closer to our home in Cornwall! Even better now they're completely plant based. We had the Japanese pancake which has won awards & it's obvious why - the flavours are so interesting & wonderful, great mix of textures & perfect quantity. The tacos to start were delicious. The red wine we had was excellent too. Service is great & the staff are very friendly. A lovely, calm atmosphere too.

Really delicious food. They managed to squeeze us in as we passed through from Birmingham on a rainy busy evening which we really appreciated. The food we had was flavourful, comforting, fresh and all locally sourced. Would highly recommend and will return if ever in the area again!

Absolutely incredible plant-based menu!
Read moreI went here with friends for my birthday celebration and wow, what an amazing experience 💚😍✨
The food was out of this world.. alot of it is gluten-free too which was fantastic for me!
Every one of us loved our dishes. I had the delish gluten-free chestnut and mushroom wellington which was the first time I'd been able to have this dish since I went vegan/GF. I also had the meringue sundae which was dreamy!
They also brought me out a yummy birthday brownie! 🎈
Service and atmosphere was fantastic. Will be coming again soon and bringing more friends!
Pros: Lots of gluten-free options , Food is exquisite and full of flavour , Great atmosphere and helpful staff

Absolutely peach of a find. So much fantastic choice it was really hard to choose what to have. Eventually went for the Wellington (out of this world) but also tried the Japanese pancakes which were also superb. Chocolate sundae so so good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. Everything gluten free or could be made gluten free. May be back tomorrow for sunday lunch.

Birthday dinner very very nice! - Edit
Yummy imaginative food in lovely surroundings. Great staff, friendly and informative. As was my birthday i received a small brownie with candle, the staff member made a joke about singing to me and i said go on and he did! Fun. We had a shared starter, two mains, 1.5 puds and a lovely espresso Martini. Would 10000000% go back!

Favourite restaurant - Edit
I should probably leave a review for River Green, as it's my favourite vegan restaurant in the area - never fails to disappoint. The cookery classes are fun and informative too.
Read moreI love that there's no imitation meats, just high-end plant-centric food that is beautifully presented and delicious.
We visited a few days ago for hubby's birthday. We sampled quite a few dishes between the five of us. The okonomiyaki has to be the star dish! Only took a photo of my dessert (Eton mess)
Recommend!
*None of us have CD, but most meals are gf*

This restaurant is set in a lovely village (Trowse) on the outskirts of Norwich. You can walk there in about 30 minutes. The food is top quality, innovative and comforting. Portion sizes are good. The flavors are big. The ethos is commendable.

Very friendly staff. We had Cauliflower Manchurian, Sweetcorn fritters, and the Sushi and Tempura small plates - all delicious. That meant that we had enough room for the light and creamy Raspberry and Chocolate Tart with Raspberry Sorbet. We'll be back!

Second time in river green and will be coming many more! Such a delicious food made with love and care and a cosy and friendly environment too, really makes you feel at home. Last time I had haggis and it was AMAZING but unfortunately this time it wasn’t on the menu (I beg you to bring it back), and at second visit had the famous Wellington and oh my god it was GOOD!

Delicious - Edit
Lovely restaurant with friendly, interested staff. The chef himself ambles around to see how you are finding it. My friend was singing the praises of the mushroom and chestnut wellington we all had and wants to make this place a regular Sunday lunch venue for us. Forgot to take photos of the desserts, but they were all great, and smaller than expected, so easy to fit in after a substantial main course

So Many Beautiful Flavours!
Read moreThe Japanese meal was excellent - so many elements - all delicious-tasting, and all working well with each other and the Asian theme.
A side-dish, a pea paparella - was simple and superb.
One of the deserts - with crumbled macaroons, chantilly cream, cassis, and berries - a taste experience that was head and shoulders above the normal fatty and sugary deserts in most restaurants.
Staff were warm and attentive.
Pros: Wonderfully designed dishes, with lots of flavour., Nice setting., Not too expensive.

It was supposed to be a quick stop for lunch but we couldn’t resist staying for desert.
We got there very early so we easily got a table but if you’re planning to come for lunch/dinner I would advise reserving in advance.

Well worth a visit. - Edit
Was in Norwich for two nights and came across this place on Happy Cow! First night had the Panelle, followed by the Okonomiyaki, both good but the latter was the winner. Second night had the Cauliflower Manchurian which was really tasty and cooked perfectly. Star of the show was the Asparagus Risotto, beautiful flavours with walnuts and tempura asparagus which gave the dish different textures 10/10.
