Lovely Italian In the Heart of Liverpool - Edit
I love the atmosphere of this restaurant; it’s really relaxed yet lively and the layout of the place is really cool. Their menu is great as they have so many different things on offer and everything vegetarian and vegan is labelled. Some dishes are already vegan and others can be made vegan. They don’t have loads of vegan options but they had a few starters such as garlic bread, olives etc, and a few main dishes. There was a vegan pasta and pizza. I opted for the vegan pizza which had a truffle base and topped with courgette and mushrooms. This was one of the best vegan pizzas I’ve ever had! It was really tasty and unusual; far from a basic vegan pizza and the dough was delicious! The prices are decent and the quality of the food is very high. The only thing I’d say is that they need more vegan dessert options as they only had sorbet. The staff were really friendly and helpful; my waitress was lovely and very accommodating to me being vegan. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great Italian food. There’s something for everyone, the prices are decent and the quality is high. I would say this place is amazing for any occasion!

Great vegan options! - Edit
Riva Blu was a fantastic option for sharing a meal with non-vegans. The staff checked with the kitchen on all my allergen concerns. Plus, the atmosphere and decor are beautiful!! I had the scarpetta and the aglio olio which were both great! Delicious drinks as well. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Clearly marked vegan menu options - Edit
Came as a party of four (two vegans). All vegan options were clearly marked on the menu, and there were more than I had expected! We shared the scarpetta con pomodoro to start - it was sundried tomato focaccia with a tomato dip - the tomatoes were divine, sweet & garlicky. I had the paccheri ortolano for main - the sauce was gorgeous, full of umami flavour, and the pasta was perfectly al dente. My vegan partner had spaghetti aglio e olio - he said it was ok, the pasta was a tad overcooked. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised; I’d say this is a great option for mixed groups of vegans/non-vegans as there’s more choice than usual for these types of restaurants.
