The coffee wasn't very nice and I noticed they use so good brand oat milk 😕 There did seem to be several food options. The raw kiwifruit slice I got was okay, but not great.

Had an almond milk latte which was just perfect. The food was only ok. Had a Curried Kumara Cashew Wrap and a Kumara Rosti. Both were decent though not great.

Read moreThe breakfast burrito was not what I expected, more of a tofu scramble in a wrap than a burrito. That being said, the marinade used for the scramble was delicious.
The acai smoothie was not good. I think it came with banana and dates so I was expecting a good smoothie but it tasted like watery acai.

I really enjoyed the vegan breakfast burrito - it was a very generous serving size and absolutely delicious! This cafe has a great atmosphere and the vegan chocolate cake was a lovely surprise!

Loads of Vegan options, staff were knowledgeable about Vegan requirements (checked of I was ok with Honey on my salad). Food wasn't ground breaking, but it was reasonably priced and they were super busy.

Really quaint cafe with great atmosphere, busy and full of life. Good coffee and a local favourite. A few vegan options on the menu. All the non dairy milks. Vegan chocolate cake available today - not sure if that’s a staple.

Not a lot of vegan options in Blenheim but Ritual always provides and is a good place if you're looking for some decent food. Greens on toast was a favourite. Vegan options listed on menu as well as cabinet. I must say they used to offer a lot more v options but have slowly gotten less. May be the certain day you go in, but you're guaranteed at least 1 or 2 options in the cabinet. If you're lucky enough to find the vegan chocolate cake, try it, to die for.

We stopped by Ritual Coffee Company for a road-trip pit stop, and it did the job. Of several available vegan options, we had the avocado toast (good) and the breakfast "burrito" (which was technically an overstuffed taco, but never mind). Good coffee and desserts, too, with friendly service.

The only drawback is that, as of our days there, none of the main menu items were both GF and vegan. One or the other, no problem, but not both. They were happy to modify dishes, however, so you can make it work if those are your restrictions.
"Greens on Toast" is delicious, but the GF bread has egg in it, so they modified it to include their Mexican beans instead of bread. Their vegan "Huevos Rancheros" are also really good, but if you need it GF, you need to sub in the corn tortilla for the GF bread.
I actually think they could make that a GF vegan dish by itself. Load up the tortilla with the beans, guacamole, and salsa and you have a GF vegan burrito. Call it the "Southern Californian" or, more accurately, the "Annoying American." :)
Tons of good looking sweets in the cabinet, but they all had nuts in them, so I couldn't give them a try.
Pros: Cool vibe, Great staff, Fresh and tasty meals

Cool atmosphere and music, friendly polite smiling staff, and good selection of vegan labelled food. The chocolate cake was light and fluffy with a rich choc taste, and the cranberry peppermint slice was on point too!

I had the chickpea, eggplant & salsa fritter with a bowl of their mixed salads on the side ~ fresh, delicious & tasty.
I've never seen so many vegan desserts on offer in a cafe before!
Tip: Try the vegan chocolate cake with coconut yoghurt and one of their great coffees for dessert ~ It's amazingly good!

Make it a Ritual when in Blenheim! - Edit
We stayed in Picton for a week, but drove to Blenheim almost every day just for their "Greens on Toast", which was vegan and extremely healthy and tasty. Plenty of miso and chopped avocado, along with piles of fresh salad bits and pieces - the tastiest meal on toast ever and very satisfying.
