No vegan options in the afternoon - Edit
Went there for late lunch at 15, they said the only food they serve is panini, and to a vegan option they just said "no"

Very good pizza, they had vegan cheese! but that's the only vegan dish they have, they have different restaurant for pizza and another for the regular menu, in the other restaurant they had 2-3 dishes that could be converted but they were all with eggplant

Amazing vegan pizza but terrible toilet situation - Edit
They offer various pizzas, most of them are not even vegetarian. But you can order vegan cheese instead of the normal one and exchange the toppings to create a really amazing vegan pizza. The vegan cheese was fantastic!

And make sure to get a table at the restaurant part of the establishment. There is also a bar part where they serve cocktails.
I only give three stars because of the toilet situation. There ist only one toilet for all men (didn't look for women) what really isn't enough und the toilet didn't even have a toilet seat...

Vegan options in a wonderful location - Edit
La Caffetteria San Colombano is an institution in Lucca, much beloved by locals and tourists alike. After many years of absence, I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of easily veganizable items (like the margherita or the vegetariana, swapping out dairy cheese for vegan cheese. The vegan cheese is delicious too!). I really recommend stopping by for a pizza or a focaccia. We had a focaccia stuffed with mixed grilled veggies (leaving out the scamorza) that was 🔥🔥🔥!
