Best Thai ever

I love love love love rice by mama. Their yellow curry with fried tofu is to die for. Tom kha amazing too. After moving to LA a few years ago, I still can’t find Thai as good as mama. And believe me, I’m always looking. Can’t go wrong here. Worth a stop in Ventura every time

Order cancelled

I ordered food from here, and at the time I expected the order, the restaurant cancelled it because they were “too busy.” No answer at the restaurant, and they don’t have voicemail.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: They offer delivery, but don’t deliver, Terrible customer service

Best vegan Thai food!

I love this place so much! The menu is clearly labeled and they're happy to prepare most of the menu vegan and/or gluten free. Everything is so flavorful and fresh. My favorite is the Tom Kha soup and Pad Thai.

Tasty Vegan Thai

Best Thai in Ventura

Everything on the menu is amazing! Their corn cakes are out of this world!

Vegan and Vegetarian Thai Oh My

So excited to find a vegetarian Thai restaurant! Our family LOVES Thai food but always encounters asking is there fish sauce it? It was amazing to be able to order everything on the menu. The cashew tofu and pineapple fried rice were delicious! Make sure to start your meal with the tofu satay it is amazing!

Pros: Lots of great vegan options, Tofu satay was delicious , Positive, friendly server

Love this place! It’s basically the same as Rice by Mama but all veg

I love the curries and the orange “chicken” special. It’s very similar to sister restaurant Rice By Mama just all vegetarian and with most dishes either vegan or can be made vegan.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Pretty much anything can be made vegan

Cons: Probably not the most healthy?

All vegetarian! Only thing on Main Street in Ventura catering to vegans.

Wonderful staff. Incredible meal.

Pros: Curries, Tofu preparation , Peanut sauce

Cons: Mock chicken was just ok (get tofu instead)

Cute place but menu needs improvement

I ordered a salad and some fresh rolls. They were good but I wasn't thrilled with ICEBERG lettuce. At a minimum it could have been listed in the description. The server easily subbed deep-fried tofu with steamed. She also offered to sub out the iceberg with romaine which was really sweet.

I LOVE the decor. It's full of plant replicas everywhere: patio, ceiling, walls, and table. One thing I was disappointed to see - a fish tank with real fish. That made me sad.

Finally, this place could easily be vegan - it would be so much better and vegans wouldn't have to worry about accidentally getting something that isn't.

Pros: Many vegan options, GREAT service, Cute decor

Cons: Not 100% vegan, Fish tank with live fish , iceberg lettuce

Best Veggie food in Ventura county

This asian fusion restaurant went fully vegetarian only a few months ago. Friends raved about it, so we went yesterday. Awesome! An amazingly varied menu, and don't miss their signature "Butterfly Tea."

Pros: Delicious vegetarian and vegan cuisine, Nice location in downtown Ventura, Friendly people and pleasant atmosphere

Cons: Parking can be a challenge at certain times of day

All vegetarian as of 4/16/2018

Yummy restaurant with delicious fresh rolls and tofu satay appetizers, excellent curries, and a coconut milk Thai iced tea. Another winner in the family of restaurants “by mama.”

I tried to give this restaurant five stars, but it is listed as veg friendly rather than all vegetarian and so it wouldn’t let me give it five stars.

Pros: Excellent food , Good location , Pleasant service
