Yummy bao buns - Edit
Loved the satay tofu bao bun, would be a perfect size for a light lunch, I personally didn’t like the eggplant chips, they were like super oily mega Jenga blocks but I was pretty full at the point and

Plenty of vegan options - Edit
They run a very well oiled ship, every staff member is great at their job. Service is very fast, if you want entree then mains I’d suggest just order entree and go back to order mains. Line moves quick. We wanted the last corner table outside as we had our 2 beagles with us. When we asked they said it was booked. But no bookings are allowed I said? Their reply oh yeah, but this is for a staff member coming in for dinner.

Amazing!!! - Edit
I went here in November 2021 and I still think about their yellow curry and tofu bao everyday. The food and drinks were beyond amazing and I would 10/10 recommend!!

Delicious! - Edit
So tasty. Long wait in a queue at the front to be seated, but definitely worth the wait! Had the bao buns & lotus chips which were so flavoursome. Just wish my stomach was big enough to try the other menu items in the one sitting….everything sounded amazing!

Delicious - Edit
While they only offer a few vegan items on their menu, they certainly don’t disappoint. The yellow tofu curry was one of the best I’ve ever had. The bao, Asian greens and bubble tea were also delicious. The only sticking point with dining in is that staff aren’t wearing masks appropriately when serving customers.

Really solid food - Edit
Both Tofu Baos were great, the eggplant chips were tasty and the Kung Pao Tofu was good.

Delicious yellow curry, peanut butter bao and fries - Edit
Riceboi is by far my favourite restaurant on the Coast. The vegan options are limited, but the they are excellent. I will usually have the curry or bao, with nori fries always.
Read moreThe bao can occasionally be hit or miss, but still worth a try!
As mentioned in other reviews, it gets incredibly busy and you can’t book, so it’s worth trying to go early or for lunch to beat the rush. I also enjoy their other restaurants Spero and Giddy Geisha that each have vegan options. (At Spero you need to ask for the vego/vegan menu)
Pros: The food is amazing, Good value for money
Cons: Busy/noisy

Best yellow curry ever - Edit
I have been to this incredibly busy restaurant a couple of times. Both times I had the same meal - the vegan bao and the vegan yellow tofu curry. Absolutely delicious both times and I would go back again and again for that curry. SO busy - but efficient service - they keep that food coming out of the open kitchen at a crazy pace. Very pleasant staff, a beautiful setting in Mooloolaba's The Wharf complex - you can even get a seat outside overlooking the water. I completely recommend this restaurant - no bookings taken so expect to be in a long queue on Friday and Saturday nights. Worth the wait though.

The yellow curry was amazing - Edit
The yellow curry is the best I've ever had and the eggplant chips were really tasty as well. However the portion sizes were small for the prize and the vegan options are pretty limited. I'll be back for the curry again though.
