Go for dinner, come back for brunch - Edit
This is my favorite restaurant in Sacramento for a few reasons. The vegan options tend to be terrific (try the stroganoff), the wine is generally good, and the setting is perfect for a date night.
Read moreVegan brunch options too. Highly recommend coming for brunch when the weather is nice and you can be on the patio.

Delicious vegan options! - Edit
During the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge, the vegan options offered by Revolution Winery were delicious! We especially loved the fig jam w/blue cheese & crostini and the short ribs. Both were flavorful and satisfying. Revolution offers vegan options, year-round, including during weekend brunch. I recommend them!

This was our first and definitely not our last time coming here. We had such a great experience. The food was incredible and perfectly complemented our wine flights.

Tasteful - Edit
have only come here a couple of times, but anytime I fly into Sacramento, this is becoming my habitual go to place after landing.
Read moreThe staff is always wonderful no matter how slammed they are with customers.
I appreciate their range of vegan options from breakfast to dinner, and how knowledgeable the staff is, if not the willingness to find out and accurately answer questions on their menu items.
I have yet to be disappointed with anything on their menu.

Pretty damn good! - Edit
Visited for the vegan chef challenge brunch items and they were all excellent. My only critique is the tofu bacon on the vegan Benedict was a little overly salty…but otherwise everything was very good and the presentation was too notch!

Tasty... but pricey - Edit
I got Revolution Wines take out for the first time since covid-19 hit in March. My last experience dining at Revolution was in the restaurant during the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge last year, and it was a really positive experience.
Read moreTonight, my partner and I shared the Vegan Taquitos, Buffalo Cauliflower, and Ziti Bolognese, which was easy to order online, and pick up was very straight forward and the person working there was very kind.
I was pretty disappointed when I opened up the box of taquitos and saw there were only two small ones... for $10. Definitely not worth it, even if they were tasty.
The Buffalo Cauliflower, however, were abundant (and $9 felt like a good price). The breading was flavorful, they were nice and crispy, and the sauce was tangy. It reminded me more of a mustard based barbecue sauce than a buffalo sauce though, and there wasn't enough of it for all of the fried cauliflower.
The Ziti Bolognese was really good (this was $18). I loved that it also came with a bit of walnut pesto, which made the dish more interesting.
Overall everything was pretty delicious, albeit over priced. I would be more willing to pay this price if I were eating in, as I would be getting the ambience of the restaurant (which is lovely) as well, and would be able to shrug off the tiny ten dollar taquitos if I got to be in a nice space. However I may wait until it's safe to dine in before I check them out again.
Pros: Great Food, Great Service
Cons: Over priced, Small Portions

Overpriced and kinda gross - Edit
I ordered the vegan taquitos. They were just ok. It's $10 for TWO taquitos. You read that right! I also ordered the vegan charcuterie. First off, this place does not know the difference between a charcuterie platter and a crudite' platter. For $16, you'd think they would know the difference. Secondly, it was gross. Even the pickled veggies were gross, and those are pretty hard to mess up. The crostini that came with it was hard as a rock (like break your teeth hard!) and salty! There was no vegan meat in the charcuterie platter. Seriously, Google charcuterie. LOL. And there was one small wedge of vegan Miyokos cheese. The carrot lox was also gross. The best part of that charcuterie platter were the olives. LOL Needless to say, this was a one and done. The pic speaks for itself. Not charcuterie. LOL

Amazing - Edit
The first time we went to Rev, we had such an amazing meal we came back the next weekend. They take their vegan menu items seriously and the chef puts a lot into each dish. A lot of non-vegan restaurants can make our food seem like an after thought. Their menu changes from time to time but I’ve had the vegan charcuterie board (one of my favs to this day), Biscuits and Gravy (impossible sausage), Impossible Stroganoff, Buffalo Cauliflower wings, and a Vegan Benedict with Carrot Lox. If you see something in their menu you have to try, go soon because their menu changes often.

Great vegan options - Edit
Really love this place! I love the buffalo cauliflower which is always super crispy and the impossible burger is amazing it's toppings are pepper jam and crispy onions it's so good I order it every time I go. Also tried the sweet potatoes and chili and the pasta "cacio e Pepe" which were only ok. The desserts seasonal crisp and pumpkin cheesecake were both tasty. The Mexican chocolate cake presentation looked amazing but was not good as I found it too cold which made it hard and it was lacking the chocolate flavour which I didn't expect at all. They also have lots of vegan brunch items on the menu which I look forward to trying as it all sounds amazing!

Burger Thursday - Edit
I recently spent the day in Sacramento and we chose to visit Revolution Winery for a late lunch. The restaurant is very cute with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a laid back vibe and our waitress was amazing. We visited on a Thursday and were delighted to find that it was Burger Thursday--we could have the Impossible burger and a glass of house wine for $16 (the burger alone is $14 so this is a great deal). The fixings on the burger were the perfect combination. Smooth Miyoko's mozz cheese, aioli, crispy onions and a delicious sweet and tangy pepper jam. The burger comes with fries and the portion is big enough even for large appetites. We order the house red wine, which was pretty tasty. We also ordered the buffalo cauliflower. I would say that the sauce is the typical buffalo sauce--it was more of a mustard based sauce, which was fine by me. The tempura coated cauliflower is served without the sauce and you can dip each piece to cover with as much sauce as you wish. This is a great location--the co-op is right behind the restaurant and Pushkin's Bakery (that has vegan options) is right around the corner.
