Lots of choice

Super colourful salads and rotating specials of hot and cold options. A great resource for anyone in Auckland CBD during the week for lunch or early dinner. They also now deliver and have ready-made freezer items for those who want to stock up on good vegan-friendly options. Recommended!

Nourishing food

If you need a vegan lunch in the middle of winter then this is a go to. Menu for the week is available online and everyone is friendly in store. Super close to uni and has student discounts. The food and smoothies are so amazing.

Delicious and nutritious

Closest one to the UoA campus. So many delicious options. Nutritious and reasonably priced (no more or less expensive than campus eateries). Would be great to have a little one on campus or more of the revive products at munchies 🙌

Fab food

Lots of choices and combinations can be made. Hot dishes and cold salads. 3x size choices $9 $13 $15.
We had $13 meals.... 3 salads for me and a hot choice, rice and a salad for my partner. Plenty of food for a 10am brunch. Fabulous flavours. Cheerful, friendly staff. All bowls and cutlery are compostable.

Pros: Ingredients are listed which was great for me as I, Don't cope well with onions and garlic.

Great WFPB options!!

Lots of great options. Offered spoon tasters when I couldn’t decide which was helpful. A great cafe concept that needs replicating nation wide!!

Pros: All vegan options., Friendly, helpful staff., Cookbooks are fantastic.

Cons: Parking is difficult as it’s right in the CBD.

Good value

A smorgasboard style restaurant where you pick what you want from the display. It all tastes pretty fresh. You can even sign up to their mailing list to get discounts if you go there regularly. They don't salt their food though, so you have to remember to season it yourself to your own liking or it's going to taste bland.

Pros: Good value

The best salad bar in Auckland

I love revive! The flavours of their salads and hot pots are amazing, I've never not loved a meal from there.

Their salads are so fresh and have incredible flavour combos.

Their hotpots are warming and tasty.

Their baking is to die for, and not too sweet/sickly like many vegan baking can be.

This cafe is such a great option if you're on the run or need to quickly pick up lunch.

They also sell homemade nut butters and bliss balls which are delicious!

Pros: Delicious flavours, Healthy food, Environmentally conscious

Cons: No eat in dining plates etc

My go-to place, fresh, tasty and cheap

I love this place. They always have a lot of really nice salads on choice, and most of them are vegan (I still don't understand why they "just" add a splash of honey in some dressings). It's nice to be able to choose the size, types of salads (raw shredded / rice / quinoa / roasted veg / etc) and the favors. Always nice warm options as well.
The prices are more than reasonable - make the VIP card that gives you $4 off on most items, outside of the lunch peak, or the student card giving even more discount!

Convenient lunch spot

Always like to see what Revive has to offer on weekdays when I'm in the city. Sometimes the options can be a bit lacking in flavour, but they're always wholesome and filling. Their hot pots really warms you up in winter.

Simple and ok

Great for when you are in a rush, they do have honey on some dishes tho.

Got a discount ticket online once and had some problems with the order. After talking to them, the lady was super friendly and gave me some extras.

Pros: Not so expensive, quick grab

Cons: Not a whole lot of options and watch out for honey

Fab place for lunch or early dinner

I'm a regular at Revive. Although they have a daily changing vegan hot pot I have never made it past the salads because I love them so much. They've been around for nearly 10 years so have well and truly secured their spot in the Auckland lunch market. Get the emailed voucher for a discount.
Employees are mostly travellers on a working holiday so be patient if they don't understand vegan, but everything is marked anyway so you don't really need to ask.
All dishes and cutlery are compatible.
The cookbooks are also full of great easy recipes for home.

Pros: really tasty, constantly changing, price is fine if you aren't a poor student

Cons: Atmos is fairly average

A bit bland

I visited here to get some food to take out and I loved that the boxes where eco friendly, along with pretty much everything here! I wasn't as impressed by the food though, had a chickpea curry, but there was no real taste to it also had a box of salad in general they were OK but nothing to write home about, also I asked the girl behind the counter what was vegan as I'd never visited before and I got a blank stare but she asked the other girl who showed me what was and wasn't!
I'd maybe try again if I was pushed for choice, but I do love that there seems to be an increasing amount of veggie places available! ☺

Pros: Healthy

Cons: Bit pricey, Small portions

Delicious

I had the stroganoff hotpot on a cold day and it was exactly what I needed. So tasty all the way through, and healthy! Only complaint was that, for the portion size, the price seemed a little bit steep.

Pros: Plenty of flavour, Healthy and vegetarian, Even the containers are eco-friendly

Cons: portion size/price, non-degradable sticker on container

Best quick food downtown

Revive is great for a quick healthy fix. Somehow, their flavours hasn't convinced me though and unfortunately the interior design isn't very inviting either. But if you're in town, this is by far the best place to go to - also to pick up food to take home. I really appreciate their offers for students (via newsletter).

Pros: healthy, quick

Large selection of hot and cold lunch dishes

Revive is a fully vegetarian cafe, open for lunches. Many, if not most, of the dishes are vegan. Meals come in small, regular and large sizes and one fills ones bowl accordingly with one, two or three selections from the salad bar and/ or hot-pots. There are also delicious soups on offer. There is a large upstairs seating area. Takeaway containers are also available, so this a good place to buy a packed lunch for work or a picnic.

Pros: Large selection, vegetarian and vegan, Reasonable price, Roomy seating area

Healthy Fast Food!

Revive is a regular place I go to if I am on the run and want food that does not make me feel crap. They offer a wide variety of vegan salads and the hot pot is always vegan. They have great Stash herbal tea, the peppermint one is my favourite of all peppermint teas. A nice place for anyone wanting to eat healthier.

Pros: Salad Bar, Hot Pot, Stash herbal tea

Revive cafe is not as good as I had hoped

I went to the Revive cafe recently and was appalled by the behaviour of one of the older staff members. She did not have a welcoming smile, moreover she was harsh to the other younger staff. I am disappointed to enter a vegetarian cafe who has a great newsletter and seemingly a great culture, to be greeted by such behaviour. The portions were too small for the money paid, and there was not much choice at all. I did not enjoy the experience sadly, and although I still receive coupons I will not be going in the future. Unless something is done about those points I have mentioned. I love the newsletter by the way, I think it is very thoughtful and warm.

Pros: Great newsletter

Cons: Unfriendly staff, Too small portions, Limited variety
