Vegan pulled pork - amazing!

I randomly walked into this place and opted for the vegan pulled pork, and it was the best I've EVER had.

Pros: Delicious

Wonderful!

Food was all vegetarian and well labeled if vegan or gluten free. Only tried the cafe option so far, as there's a buffet upstairs. Tried the BBQ Pulled Tempeh sandwich and it was great.
Salads, sandwiches, Buddha bowls, grain bowls, noodle bowls, pizzas, espresso, smoothies, and juices.
Friendly, breezy atmosphere

veg* buffet

Even though the buffet is officially only vegetarian, at least half of the options were vegan. As the friendly lady of the staff explained to me (in English), you pay 2,70$ per 100g, but not more that 17,50$ per plate (as long as it's not more than 1kg of food on it), plus tax as usual.
I put many different options and seriously every single one of them was delicious!
There also is a separate dessert and fruit buffet, which has a different price, but since I skipped that, I can't review it...but it looked good ;)

Pros: plenty of vegan choices, buffet, pay per 100g, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, enough space

Cons: none!

Good

I ate here a few months ago. They have a pretty good variety of options in the buffet, and each dish is clearly labeled if theirs dairy etc. in it. It's pay by weight which is nice if you don't eat much.

Pros: Lots of choices

Delicious!

My husband and I ate here a few times during our recent trip to Montreal, and were never disappointed! My favourites were the roasted red pepper pesto sandwich and the potato salad. There's also a buffet on the second floor, but I'm not personally a fan of buffets where you have to pay by weight.

Pros: lots of vegan options

Don't miss the Petit Végo

You don't really go to Vego for the atmosphere, but the food is good.

On the second floor, there is a large buffet and vegan dishes are clearly identified. They even have a few vegan desserts and alcohol. You pay by weight and it can get pricey, unless you really fill up your plate (there is a maximum price you can pay) and get a lot of food. I particularly like the potato salad, the pasta dishes and the seitan dishes, and the pastry shells.

On the first floor, you have the Petit Végo, a salad/pizza/sandwich counter where you can choose already wrapped/packaged sandwiches and salads. Some other items are heated and I HIGHLY recommend the vegan pulled pork sandwich, the maple and tempeh sandwich as well as the potato salad.

Pros: Vegan dishes clearly marked, Petit Végo counter, Can stay there long and study/work

Cons: Pay by weight, Not vegan

Definitely my favorite vegan buffet

I like the idea of weigh the meal and charge you only for that and there are also limits to price.
There are many options and you can actually taste a little of many things.
I recommend when going out with friends.
it is casual.

Pros: casual and not cheap if you don't eat a lot.

Good

The food here is very good, but the price adds up quickly (by weight), and some of the items seemed like they had been sitting out on the buffet for a while. We enjoyed our meal.

The perfect place for lunch

So many vegetarian and vegan options. I love the salad bar and the curried/stews. Less cheese in the warm dishes and more raw vegan options for desserts would be great!

Pros: Options, Quality, Pay by weight

Cons: Cheese, Unhealthy desserts

tasty and good value

it is by the weight and if you watch what you choose then it can be quite worth the while. However the food is fresh and plenty of variety. I went to the till and after weight decided I could add a bit more and it still came to only CAD11. the deserts/cakes are the tricky bit as they tend to carry a bit of weight but very fresh and overall I enjoyed the entire experience, my partner also had different foods and said it was great. for what it is I felt satisfied with the value and the overall freshness.

Pros: quick, no need to read french, taste

Cons: take care with the weight

Quick veg buffet with vegan options

On the quartier Latin's restaurant row , rue St. Denis, Vego is an easy choice for a quick solo or group lunch or dinner. There are two daily soups and a number of serve-yourself choices of cold salads , greens or grain -based, hot main dishes, veggie sides and desserts including vegan and raw recipes, wine and coffee. I ate there several times and found the menu the same at every meal, so it is predictable. Ocassionally I found some tired, inedible greens in my salad, but overall the quality and tastiness of the choices is high . Non-vegetarian companions were perfectly satisfied with the food, but not the cheap wine.

Pros: Lots of choices, Tasty preparation, Easy self-service & friendly staff
