Restaurant with previously prepared menus of the day. Entry is chosen (soup or salads). A main course and a drink (infusion of herbs), vegetable soup, integral rice, stewed gluten, sauteed caigua (similar to zucchini) with stewed green beans. Reported to use egg June 2023. Open Mon-Sat 12:00pm-6:00pm. Closed Sun.

Good food here

Arrive before 1:00 if you want to get a table. And don't sit down until you go to the front counter and buy a ticket that includes what you want. You have to pay before you sit down and present the ticket to the waitress when she comes to the table. In June 2023 the meal of the day costs 12 soles. The day I went they had four choices for the starter plate and four choices for the main plate. The meal also comes with a nearly flavorless drink. I ordered the caigua rellena (it's kind of like a squash), and for the starter plate I ordered the leek pie. Everything was very good. (Good news because it appears to be the only vegetarian restaurant in the area). They used eggs in the leek pie as well as in the caigua rellena (not really possible to leave it out in these two dishes so check the menu carefully before ordering). Nobody appears to speak English here so you will have to take your chances if a vegan.
