Great vegan options - Edit
We had the fajitas as a main course: grilled vegetables (bell pepper, green asparagus, baby pak choi, sundried tomato, onion) with all kinds of toppings such as vegan cheese and various sauces/salsa. Beforehand, bread with onion rings and deep-fried cauliflower florets. Very friendly service with personal attention, we felt seen and appreciated.

Great restaurant on the Market - Edit
Nice vegan options (even had a special plant-based menu: https://restaurantrosas.nl/plantaardige-dinerkaart/) with lots of veggies and excellent drinks and service. I had the Verduras mixtas (steamed vegetables in banana-leaf with yellow bell pepper sauce) and it was excellent!

Delicious Pulled Jackfruit Sandwich - Edit
The menu is only available in Dutch and it doesn't list anything as vegan. But the waitress was so kind to walk us through the menu in English and explained which dishes were vegan and where she might have to double check with the cook. We ordered and shared a taco as well as a pulled Jackfruit sandwich. The taco was alright. The pulled Jackfruit sandwich is still haunting us in our dreams, because it was so good. Overall there should be around 8 vegan dishes during lunch time.

Van tevoren aangegeven dat er een veganist mee at. Bij binnenkomst vroegen ze er gelijk naar en ik kreeg een speciale vegan menukaart. Dat was heel handig. Ze gaven aan het heel normaal te vinden dat er ook mensen vegan eten tegenwoordig, omdat ik zei dat dit best wel uniek was.

Great vegan dishes - Edit
Sure they serve meat. But almost all dishes have vegetarian or vegan options. We had a great meal. Had great service. And a nice chat with the owner.

on the menu it looks like there are not so many vegan options, but when we asked about the vegan options they told us pretty much all the vegetarian dishes could be made vegan without the cheese (except for the enchiladas). the staff knew what vegan means and helped us, they’re all really friendly! we had the nachos with guacamole and the quesadillas as appetizer. as main dish we had the tacos with broccoli and the burritos with chili. just tell the staff you’re vegan and they’ll make it without the cheese! i didn’t think they’d have any vegan desserts because it wasn’t on the menu. but when we asked the man told us they have a vegan mango cake, which was delicious!

Had dinner there last night. I had the chilli fajitas, tortillas and side salads were free for refill. The only downside is that they don't serve vegan desserts.

Ernesto's has a complete and delicious vegan menu. From starters to main course and desserts....more then enough to choose and all delicious. An absolute must do when visiting sittard! Would give it 5 stars but this is not possible because it's not 100 percent vegan.

We had a lovely, if basic and not really mexican, dinner. The owner is super friendly and told us there are plans for more vegan desserts on the menu. We had a number of small dishes, which were nice. The fajitas (no small dish, but a regular main) looked good too.

Read moreOn the webiste you can find the vegan options but on the menu in the restaurant only vegetarian is mentioned. Staff is very helpful so you can ask what's vegan and what's not.
It aren't standard dishes but you choose some small dishes to make a whole meal.
They have vegan mayo and vegan cheese so just ask for it.
They also have some vegan dessert options.
