Nice cheap Indian Restaurant - Edit
The food is alright like the price. The Paneer was a little bit hard, but the local indian people come here to eat, so I can't be bad 😉

Naan is not vegan :-( - Edit
They have a few things marked on the menu as vegan but I’m pretty sure they can make a few other things vegan. I got the Chana Masala and the samosas. The Chana masala was prefect and super filling. The samosas were good but not the best I’ve had. Also, it seems that ketchup is commonly served with them in Japan. Definitely interesting. Owners kids were there and they definitely weren’t quite lol.

Nice restaurant and good food - Edit
Some vegan options and English speaking staff. Some kids yelling in the restaurant but overall wasn’t too distracting. No vegan naan though😒

Best Indian Food! - Edit
It is genuinely some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. It’s a tiny place with a wonderful atmosphere. The food is incredibly good value and we were absolutely stuffed afterwards! Many great vegan and vegetarian options. Possibly one of the best meals we’ve had in Japan. It’s run by a wonderful family!

Nice food :) - Edit
Namaste is a good location for dinner if you are at fushimi inari shrine. We had the vegetable pakora, which were really good and chana masala, which was also nice. The food was pretty cheap too and the staff was really friendly and showed us which of the food on the menu was vegan. They also spoke pretty good english which was helpful😄we can recommend the Namaste restaurant 😊

Amazing option by Fushimi Inari Taisha - Edit
There aren't many options by Fushimi Inari Taisha but this place is a lovely little gem. Some great vegan curry's, lovely nann and plenty of drinks. The lady who owned it speaks perfect English and Japanese and is super friendly. Really good value too.

Are you sure the nan is vegan? Usually they use milk and egg.

Great vegan options around Fushimi Inari - Edit
A nice little restaurant near Fushimi Inari (an area with very few vegan options). There are a few vegan and vegetarian options marked on the menu (such as the curries and samosas), but specify that you’d like them to be vegan.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly, pointed out the vegan options for us, and assured us that the vegan meals were cooked without butter. They were also able to make the vegetable biriyani vegan too.
It’s a little unclear which of the vegetarian sides can also be vegan, so parts of the menu could be better marked, but ask the staff if you’re unsure.
Everything we had was delicious, we’ll definitely visit again!
Pros: Several vegan options, English menu available
